Current rounds of Enchantment and We Love Role-Play end this weekend

A lot of events are ending this weekend, as the calendar changes from May to June.

One of these is the current round of We Love Role-Play (the new round will open on 4 June).
Just to be confusing, I'm wearing items from both the soon-to-end and soon-to-open rounds.

Currently available is the Zinga belt (with matching anklets, not seen) from May's Soul. Don't forget all items at We<3RP are discounted between 25-50% so take advantage of the opportunity to get it for less. Coming soon is the hair-headdress combination from Emo-Tions. (Note: The hair, horns, crown and face chain are one piece, so you can't wear or move them around individually.) The pack includes a hud which lets you change hair tone and the colour of the jewels.

The tunic/ camisk I'm wearing is a recent release from Soedara, called Siv of the North, and I'm not actually wearing half of what you get in the box. Each pack includes two colours of the mesh tunic in two lengths each, circlet, chore belt, rope belt, boots, and bracelets. Thre's also a clothing layer undershirt (to keep those nips covered!) and and armbands, which I am wearing.

Another event ending this weekend is Enchantment. The bracelets I'm wearing are from Boom, and they're one of the special, exclusive prizes you can choose when you buy an Enchantment item from participating stores and complete the stamp card contained within. This post on the official Enchantment blog explains the concept in five languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, and German).

Spring fairy

Caverna Obscura have produced two cute Fiola fairy outfits for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The mesh dress is an ultra-rare, the flower wreath is rare, and the wings are a common prize. There's one rigged mesh size only, and a fitted mesh version, so try the demo or be prepared to tweak your avie if needed. There's also shoes, sandals (note: for Gaeline feet only), bracelets and pretty flower fairychairs all stuffed into the machine.

In my hand, I'm carrying a sprig of Lily of the Valley from Naminoke's Suzuran gacha, which includes hair accessories, mouthies, and huggable dolls. Hair is from Emo-Tions - this is a common colour, and the rare prize is a bead and feather headband.

Not at FGC: sandals from Pure Poison, skin from The.Plastik, and flower face tattoo from The Skinnery, at Cosmetics Fair until the end of April.

Badass

I love this new pose set from Rack Poses - She's a BadAss Bitch!, coming soon to the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. Some of the poses are quite dynamic, like the above jumping pose, and I do appreciate a 'dynamic' pose!  Others are more like traditional stands, check out another two after the jump. Each poses also includes bow, arrow, and/or quiver props. There are six common single poses, and the seventh is a rare double pose.

Also from the upcoming May round of FGC are skin from Bite & Claw, tattoo from Demonic,  boots from Yasum (available in male and female versions), and the Bellona armour from Emo-Tions, which includes arm, hand and chest-pieces.

The dress (or tunic, if you prefer) I'm wearing is one of the new Courtesan Reloaded mesh dresses from The.Plastik.  It's an update of the original clothing-layer and comes in a variety of colourful, space-age and subtle textures. I'm wearing leather in the pictures, check out the full range of on The.Plastik's blog entry or in the mainstore on Growl.

Lastly, the hair is from Tableau Vivant, and you'll find it in the current Pirate edition of  The Fantasy Collective.

The Fantasy Collective has been open for a couple of days now, hopefully you've had a chance to look in.

The good news - this won't be the last round of TFC after all! Another full round will start on February 20th.

The fabulous coat is from Junbug - I just love the belt, nipped-in waist and swagger to the hips.
The red-lipped skin is another Fleur gacha prize (common! yay!) from Bite & Claw.  Remember, this items are exclusive to the event, so if you don't snap them up now, you'll have to wait at least another 3 months before you can do so.

Some more items from Fantasy Gacha Carnival as well - the Fashun Crowns and Staff from Enfant Terrible and the Elbensoul jewelry from Emo-tions. Both creators are making some amazing jewelry and accessories so if you can't bear the wait till 1 February, why not check out the mainstores instead!

We've been pining, and now we want to go home

The fabulous gown in the picture is from Junbug at the current round of Collabor88. For the event, it's priced at only 188L, and it's accompanied by fur wraps and the cutest satin clutch bags, all at great prices. Check. It. Out. 

(This round of C88 has some really amazing offers, you're bound to see all the blogs and feeds just stuffed with items. I bought so much there it'd certainly fill out several posts...)

Also, a couple of items from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, which opens on 1 February. The quiver is the rare Elven prize from one of Pucca Firecaster Creations's gachas. The other gacha features a series of roleplay-oriented belts - each has different items attached to suit your role.

The jewelry I'm wearing is Elbensoul  circlet from Emo-Tions, who have two gachas featuring beautiful circlets and necklaces. I really like how Emo-Tions have structured their prize too - the rares come with extra matching earrings. The commons don't have the earrings, but they're all absolutely lovely

Free stuff, group gifts, and a dollarbie

I've been spending a lot of lindens lately (Arcade, Jewelry Expo, C88 etc etc...) so before I splashed out again, I thought I do some economising! Today's post features two looks which altogether cost a total of 1L.  A lot of the items are gifts from free-to-join groups, one is a dollarbie, and some are advent prizes.

The first look (very Merida!) features a dollarbie gown from Creative Chaos. The second look (after the jump) is a slave girl group gift from Delicious, there are a lot more ways to wear it, and the group is free to join, as always.

Hair for both, and the earrings from the second look, are prizes from the Emo-Tions group advent board. (It's just been switched form a current-day-only board to one which will give you all past gifts also. It can be a little laggy though, so you will probably need to wait a little while for delivery. (I'd suggest not slapping all the boards at once - maybe wait a bit in-between. And only slap each once or it will lag the system even more!)

Another cool thing about it - the gifts are either unisex or include female and male gifts.

Skins are group gifts from Al Vulo or YS&YS, and the poses are from the Advent gifts at Picture This. Again, you can also get the older gifts, and not just the current day's, and you don't even need to be a group member.

The Raven Goddess

This post is a liberal interpretation of a raven goddess figure - specifically the Morrigan, the mysterious and elusive Celtic deity associated with war and sovereignty (not to be confused with Morgana le Fay from Arthurian legend).

The images were inspired by this amazing headdress from Emo-tions which has definitely got the 'wow' factor. I picked it up at the Jewelry and Accessory Expo a couple of days ago and was really taken aback by the amount of talent and creativity on display there. 

On a more critical note, I did find the Expo layout quite difficult to follow and wasn't at all impressed by the 'teaser vendors' - showing items coming in 4 days, 10 days etc. I appreciate the organisers want to maintain traffic for the duration of the event, but I'm not sure that's a good way to do it.

Hopefully the organisers will review these ahead of next year's event, because apart from those niggles, I was very impressed and spent quite a few lindens. I'm also very pleased that the Expo gachas gave out quite a few rares :D  There are also lots of gifts and dollarbies around the stores too, so even if you're broke, it's worth going to check out.

I think I'm going cross-eyed. All pinks look the same to me now :/ Anyway, I'd thought this pink was kind of a warm pink (and wondered why it was being called 'mauve'!). Now, too late, I can see that it actually has a good dash of blue in it. Gah.

Never mind, if the gown from Emo-Tions doesn't quite hit the spot, the fabulous Vexillum of Bellerophon from GSpot in pink and white seems a really good match. It's at at this round of  We<3RP.  It comes in 9 different colours, and many of them are considerably more war-like than pink and white!

More gacha insanity

Really quick post tonight, it's almost sleepy-time... Another couple of options from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, this time an earthily glamorous gown from Black Pearl (only 75L per play!) and some grungily decorative shoulder armour from May's Soul.

I did make some time to very quickly pop over to the mainstream OMGacha event, where I didn't find much... except these masks, from Things. Must have... must have... the THINGS....

Free alt gets a new Fall look

Free alt has a whole new look for Fall, courtesy of some generous designers.

The sleek hair is a brand new group gift from EMO-tions and the pretty skin is the current offering for Al Vulo fans.

The outfit, comprising a mesh skirt and floral accessories,  is from Velvet Whip.

Back... let's go shopping!

Sooo... I'm back from holidays again. Naturally, one of the first things I did when back in SL was go shopping.

Among the places I hit up were Genre, The Dressing Room Fusion and The Attic.

The theme for this month's Genre is 'Western'. I thought I'd just pop in and have a quick look, but there are so many great items there (all 100L or under) that I spent ages trying on demos. And purchasing.

The 'Native American dress' by La Petite Morte would make a great work tunic, while The Muses have a beautifully modest dress that would be perfect for Gorean free women (add your own veils).

Emo-Tions at Fashion for Life

Tomorrow is the last day of Fashion for Life, so if you haven't had a chance to explore yet, better hurry!  So far, I've only managed to check out stores on a couple of the nine sims, and the gacha. The builds are amazing though, so if I managed to get all my shopping done, I'll also be trying to take some photos!

If you're a fan of Emo-Tions, make a special effort to get down before FFL closes, as everything they're featuring at the event has been reduced to 99L. This includes their donation items, such as the Semiramis hair in the photos.

As if the pre-Christmas gift givers weren't enough bounty, a couple of gift packages were sent out recently to Plastik group members. Ellabella sent out a non-scripted version of a new release, while the Plastik box was full of goodies...

Tonight's post is a tribute to my favourite goddess: the fiercely independent Artemis, ancient Greek goddess of the hunt and the moon; protectress of wild animals, young children, and women in childbirth.

Slave Dressing Room - Wild Princess

The latest release from Cristine Easterling's Slave Dressing Room is Wild Princess, perfect for panthers and any other wild girls! The outfit is mesh, with prim accessories, and features what I'm gonna call a 'grassland print' trim.

I've been hanging onto this cute skin from BRAT[inc] till I had a panther outfit to wear, so now's the time. It's Extreme Brat T4 EarthAngel, and I love the black 'warpaint' on the cheeks.

Poor Virgos! Seems to have been decided they're the housemaids of the Zodiac, judging by the amount of cleaning utensils available at the latest round of Zodiac. (I suppose someone has to tidy up after all the messy Aries and Sagittarians.)

Never mind; it makes for great RP props for the rest of us. There are some really fun collab pieces from Cheeky Pea and Exposeur, and in tems of clothes, it's great to see an established and much-loved fantasy store like Evie's Closet taking part. (Last round had Solange! - I'm really liking this about Zodiac)

Also, nothing is over 200L, and lots more in store as well, so, what's not to love...

GU Summer Meltdown Hunt - Arachne Silks camisk and EMO-Tions hair

A super-quick post tonight! More great prizes from the Gorean University Summer Meltdown hunt - two hairs from EMO-Tions and an outfit from Arachne Silks. One prize from each store at the GU market, and one back in the mainstore.

The Arachne outfit is split in two parts - but they're actually quite independent of each other if you can only find one. (Not one of those times where you have to worry about ending up with only half an outfit!) One part is the camisk, and the other is the 'Coin Slut' accessory set.

Got some more hunting done, in fact I'm almost finished. I just have to go back and look for the most difficult ones that I skipped. Ouch.

There's still plenty of time to find some of the great prizes out there - the hunt runs until March 3.

Today's batch of hunt prize pics is mostly outfits for slaves - there's just one Free Woman outfit from Priory of Roses (it comes with boots and a backpack though so a really nice prize).
