More events!
A super quick post, just to highlight some ongoing events.
The chainmail vest I'm wearing is from The Forge, at Tales of Fantasy. Be quick though, this round closes on 29 August.
Likewise, you have only a couple of days to shop Enchantment. I love this eye makeup from Tarnished.
Fantasy Gacha Carnival, where you'll find the dress, belt and cuffs from May's Soul, runs until 8 September.
Collabor88 is celebrating its third anniversary, which means even more goodies than usual. I spent all my lindens there, as the theme is Odyssey... meaning lots of classically-inspired items for Greek goddesses, including this hair from Lamb.

The victrix
Just a quick reminder that you have only a couple of days left before the July round of We Love Role-Play closes (the August round opens on the 6th, a couple of days later than usual). That's where you'll find this original mesh, clasically-inspired gown from Luminary.
Continuing the classical theme is the Christine hair from Lelutka which debuted at Hair Fair. The Trojan Necklace and Gypsy Bracers are both from The Forge. The necklace is strictly limited to 200 in quantity at Project Limited which opened on 20 July. The bracers first appeared at the Countdown Room but will probably reappear at the Forge mainstore before too long.
By the way, if you happened to glance at my profile, I mentioned that I'm travelling a lot at the moment, so not really blogging. I just happened to have a few days at home and managed to squeeze in a couple of posts. (Not fibbing about not blogging!). I might be able to squeeze in another post before the weekend, if not, see you in September or October... Inshallah!

New round of We Love Role-Play opens tomorrow
A brand new round of We Love Role-Play opens tomorrow (by my counting, that's round 10, so congratulations to all the organisers and designers who've made it such a great event).
You'll find my hair (Mina), headdress (Keystone), and eyes (Musa - gacha) all there, and all discounted between 25% and 50% for the duration of the event. The poses are from the event too - the Huntress set from !bang.
The beautiful Grecian gown is another original mesh creation from Junbug, and you'll find it at the One Word event. This round is inspired by the word "tragedy", and the gown is called Electra, after the matricidal princess. The outfit is two pieces - the gown itself and optional shoulder drapes.
The staff is from EZ Weaponry. I'm a poser, not a fighter, so was really happy to see that with this item there's a purely cosmetic version included! Don't fret, naturally it includes all the other versions and gestures you need to do your opponents some real damage.

Soedara - Parthenope of Rome
Soedara's latest outfit is a classically-inspired cornucopia of options that could see you roleplay your way from humble slave to patrician lady (or vice versa).
The basis of the outfit is a mesh tunic which comes with a variety of trims (gold, silver, leather). There are then eight different flexi skirts you can add to the outfit to transform it from tunic to gown.

New from Soedara - Romea mesh silks
TGI almost Friday... I'm exhausted! With that in mind, I'm just going to very quickly tell you about this recent mesh release from Soedara.
Romea is a set of mesh silks especially suited for those roleplaying in ancient Greece and Rome, and it comes in high and low caste variants. (There's also a sister set, not photographed here, called 'Of the Plains' which is more Gorean and features lots of earthy colours and different accessories.)

Now I know the truth
I caught the amazing video for Ellie Goulding's 'Anything Can Happen' recently (I know, I know, I'm so out of the loop). She wears two looks in the video, one of them being a fantastical, grecian draped gown.
I don't know if it would be possible to create a close approximation of this look as there's lots of volume and fluid draping, but it was so beautiful and inspirational, I thought I'd have a go at interpreting it, just for fun.

Emo-Tions at Fashion for Life
Tomorrow is the last day of Fashion for Life, so if you haven't had a chance to explore yet, better hurry! So far, I've only managed to check out stores on a couple of the nine sims, and the gacha. The builds are amazing though, so if I managed to get all my shopping done, I'll also be trying to take some photos!
If you're a fan of Emo-Tions, make a special effort to get down before FFL closes, as everything they're featuring at the event has been reduced to 99L. This includes their donation items, such as the Semiramis hair in the photos.

Goddess of the Hunt
Tonight's post is a tribute to my favourite goddess: the fiercely independent Artemis, ancient Greek goddess of the hunt and the moon; protectress of wild animals, young children, and women in childbirth.

25L Fall Fete preview: Luas
It's getting late for me... time to finish up this post, schedule it, and turn in! (If anyone ever tells you bloggers are lazy, they are so lying.)
Some fun stuff from Luas for the Fall Fete. Some of the outfits feature different options for wearing, depending on your roleplay needs. I love the adorable 'Roman Girl' outfit, which is perfect for casual mainstream wear as well as roleplay. Incidentally, when changing outfits, I accidentally layered it over 'Rebecca'... and like it. Give it a go ;)
(PS - Skin & shape from Delicious & Belissima Fall Fete showcase again.)

The White Armory - Contessa gown
A lot of silks and camisks lately, so to mix it up a bit, the Contessa gown from The White Armory! This gown isn't what you'd call a new release... in fact it's been lurking in my inventory since May.
To my mind at least, it's got something of an 'ancient worlds' feel about it, so I teamed it up with some satisfyingly chunky pieces from Aidoru's 'Egyptian Dream' jewelry collection (very kindly passed to me by owner Jaraloy Swords).
One of the great things about this gown is that it includes two colour options, so you're basically getting two for the price of one!

One Voice: Elf Maiden from Wild Style Fashions
If you haven't already been to One Voice to show your support of Curio/Gala Phoenix, now's a great time to go. The rush is over and you're practically guaranteed a lag-free experience! If you have been, it might be worth taking another look, as some late arrivals have joined in, and some merchants have changed over their offerings.
The event continues until 22 July, and I've still got a ton a stuff in my inventory, so I'll shut up and get on with it!
(The hand-held lantern - from LISP - in these pictures has been hacked by the way. You're not meant to wear it but to place it on the ground! However, it's fully mod, so why not play with it...)
