Free in December

It's the most wonderful time of the year... for gifts in Second Life of course!

Once again, you'll find a series of Advent Calendar gifts at Alice Project. Each day, you'll find a different gift under the tree (there are two gifts, one for group members, and one that anybody can take).  The styles are beautiful, and have a seasonal touch with red and green streaks through the hair.

I picked up a couple of great gifts while on the Peace on Earth hunt. My outfit (gown, hair accessory and armbands) is from Bubblez Style, and skin is from WoW Skins. All the prizes on this hunt are 0L.

Some designers have also put out gifts at Totally Top Shelf - most of these are near the landing point. That's where the wings I'm wearing from, courtesy of Chimeric Fashions.

Other gift locations include the current rounds of We Love Role-Play and The Arcade (I might wear some of these in a future post).

Christmas gifts

Merry Christmas! This is a quick post to share some Christmas gifts with you... the Advent calendars have come to an end at Krystal, so you can grab the last tiara and last gown on on the boards for 0L. (The other items are still available for 10-40L each.)

The necklace and earrings are a gift from House of Rain - look for the blue box under the tree.

The skin is a special holiday offer from La Petite Morte - a special edition of Reagan for just 50L.

Free stuff, group gifts, and a dollarbie

I've been spending a lot of lindens lately (Arcade, Jewelry Expo, C88 etc etc...) so before I splashed out again, I thought I do some economising! Today's post features two looks which altogether cost a total of 1L.  A lot of the items are gifts from free-to-join groups, one is a dollarbie, and some are advent prizes.

The first look (very Merida!) features a dollarbie gown from Creative Chaos. The second look (after the jump) is a slave girl group gift from Delicious, there are a lot more ways to wear it, and the group is free to join, as always.

Hair for both, and the earrings from the second look, are prizes from the Emo-Tions group advent board. (It's just been switched form a current-day-only board to one which will give you all past gifts also. It can be a little laggy though, so you will probably need to wait a little while for delivery. (I'd suggest not slapping all the boards at once - maybe wait a bit in-between. And only slap each once or it will lag the system even more!)

Another cool thing about it - the gifts are either unisex or include female and male gifts.

Skins are group gifts from Al Vulo or YS&YS, and the poses are from the Advent gifts at Picture This. Again, you can also get the older gifts, and not just the current day's, and you don't even need to be a group member.

Two hunts for roleplayers

September is going to be a super-busy month. As well as We <3 Role-Play - round 5 opens tomorrow - there's The Arcade, if you can get in, and two free hunts. Those are the Medieval Fantasy Hunt X and The Renaissance Hunt 3.

Both blogs have some prize previews, but not everything is shown on them. I've photographed two of the outfits which don't seem to have been included on the previews. (The hair is an MFH hunt prize too, from A&A.)

Okay, I know I commented on how this blog had been almost taken over by gowns, just the other day... but here's another gown.

It's group gift time at Madison's Creations, and this black, white and red Danielle gown has been sent out to group members and subscribers. (I couldn't find how to retrieve the gown from the subscribo, so you will need to join the group and check the notices.)

This week's colour is called "New Car" so obviously it's just begging to be illustrated with a fairytale gown.  Anyway :) this challenge didn't take long at all. I opened up my CTS wardrobe page (find out more on the marketplace) and simply searched for items tagged with 'blue', and one of the options it brought me back was this beautiful fairytale gown from Deviance.

What's even sweeter is that with a little persistence you can have this outfit for free, as it's one of the prizes in the apple bob in Deviance's basement (there's a lucky chair there too with silks and fairy outfits, changes every five minutes).

Another Valentine's gift (well two)...

I don't have time to crack this outfit open & model it for you (bet you're really upset about that /sark) but wanted to let you know it's available for Delicious group members to grab now. (Group is free to join.)

Thoughtfully, there are two versions of the gift, one mesh-based, and one prim. Two different outfits in each as well - one for slave and for free.

Free stuff! Mini-mania prizes at Vigo

If you've got some time to kill, you could do worse than check out the mini-mania boards at Vigo, where there are some great black-themed outfits to be won. (I like to think of all that black as anti-Valentines.)

You might need to be persistent though; I found the prize I really wanted elusive. Luckily, my free alt scored it! On the boards are a medieval gown; slave outfit/lingerie set; and men's assassin or rogue outfit.

Christmas gift gown from Kouse's Sanctum

Ooops, I almost forgot to tell you about this ethereal gown which is free from Kouse's Sanctum, as the last day of the advent calendar.

Vanafindiel, the white-haired girl

This ethereal gown ('Vanafindiel *white as snow*') from K a s h i e is available free as part of Atooly's Hunting for Winter hunt. It's very cute so I thought I'd style it up to show you. Most of the other items in the pic are free or on sale, so even if Lindens are tight, you might find something worth investigating!

Huge sale and group giveaway at Angelwing

It's been pretty quiet at Angelwing lately, but a huge sale and giveaway has just been announced.

Angel has made most of her older creations free for group members (group join fee of 50L applies). There are dozens upon dozens of gowns, silks and fairy outfits on offer. Prices have been slashed on newer releases - everything is 25L. That is a ridiculously low price for these gorgeous creations!

Petites especially are spoiled rotten - their group gifts consists of some relatively recently outfits such as petite versions of the Timeless outfits, released for last March's Fashion for Life event.

I wandered over to Lorien last night, and very quickly grabbed some group gifts, and a couple of cheapies. (The group is free to join.)

Group gifts include outfits for slave and a Free Woman gown, plus there's a couple of male outfits on the cheapie table outside opposite the front door.

There are also some dollarbies (I grabbed some textures), midnight mania and lucky boards, so check them out too!

Evangeline Miles has put out four gorgeous gifts at her mainstore - free for anyone to pick up. You don't even need to be a group member!

The gifts include mermaid and fae outfits, and two gowns (one of which, Ellora, includes a matching set of wings for fae). The outfits also have multiple options so you can wear in lots of different ways. And, as always with Evie's creations, they're just stunning.

Shack autumn/winter collection fashion show

The Shack fashion show is about to get underway... now, at Forest Port. Scheduled for 1pm SLT, even after the event the event you'll be able to get 20% off new releases from the special vendors, and grab some free gifts (after the jump). These should be place till the end of the day, so come have a look!

Creative Angel Hunt: Some prizes

When I saw the poster for CAH4 up at Shack, I knew I'd have to check this hunt out.. and it's got lots for roleplayers along its trail.

As well as the aformentioned Shack, Silks Girl favourites Floor Candy and Slave Dressing Room are on the list.

It's a hud-controlled hunt, so the very first thing you'll need to do is stop off at the hunt HQ to grab your CAH hud (otherwise you won't be able to take any of prizes you do find!). It includes all the hunt locations and hints - I haven't found a hints webpage. The hud is free, as are the prizes. Yay!

Free gown: Group gift at Just Darling

This month's group gift at Just Darling is a touch of whimsy - a recreation of Glinda the Good Witch's costume from the Wizard of Oz. (Group is free to join and the gift includes the stave also.)

Be sure to check it out if you're looking for a sweet Hallowe'en costume, or even if you're just hankering after a big ol' crinoline-y gown!

Free silks at Creative Chaos

There are some new lucky chairs at Creative Chaos, and a group gift too, if you haven't already picked it up.

The lucky boards currently host two gowns and a silk, but I haven't won the gowns yet, so it's just silks today!

Medieval Fantasy Hunt VI - prize pics

The sixth Medieval Fantasy Hunt kicked off yesterday and I managed to get through a fair chunk of the shops. I don't always follow the hunt order, when a list of participants is provided I tend to pick out my favourites and stores likely to have clothing prizes first.

There are several gorgeous gowns in the hunt, but my single favourite prize among the wearables is the Astrolabe necklace from Trident Jewelry.
