More from Enchantment
Hey all. Well, sometimes it is really hard to think of anything that looks like a vaguely interesting title, so I just went for something really, uh, straightforward instead.
The current round of Enchantment is still going strong, and in these pics I'm wearing some of the store offerings from May's Soul (the Beast horns in black) and Unrepentant (the Precious Rose corset). Both include a stamp card which you can redeem for super-exclusive prizes (more info here on the official blog).
Also pictured is the latest release from Calico - the Daphne hair style is available now at We <3 Role-Play. I love the tumbling waves... this style also comes with flexi add-ons, not shown here.
The top is from 22769, but I changed the colour completely. Sometimes, with modify items, I'll buy them in white or a very pale shade so I can play around with them later. Of course, you lose a lot of detail when you colour them yourself so just be wary of that!
Lastly, the footwraps are from Cerberus Xing and must have been a Christmas special (they're called Joyeux Noel and feature a little jingle bell) and the manicure is from La Boheme - a hunt prize freebie.

Beauty
More from Enchantment! This time out, I'm wearing BCC's beautiful gown, La Petite Morte's skin, and posing with An Lar's Beauty Series poses.
Each of these is a featured main store release, and each includes a stamp card.
Wear your stamp card(s) and visit all the stores participating in this round, and click the stamp machine in each store whilst wearing the card. Once your card has all 20 stamps, you can teleport to the prize location and and claim your prize.

Enchantment: Beauty and The Beast
The latest - and last - round of Enchantment opens on 1 Feb.
You can read my explanation of the process in this older post, or even better, read the instructions on the official blog - you'll find Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese and German translations there also.
Enchantment in SL will also have previews of all the exclusive prizes.
The gown I'm wearing is Luminary's store release for the event. It's inspired by Beauty's fateful rose and comes in five different colours. One thing I love about this dress is how the folds at the bottom of the gown were done. Grab yourself an demo and check it out for yourself!
Caelan Hancroft has created some brand new jewelry for the event. The Belle ring set contains rings for left and right hands, and a pair fitted to mesh hands. They're hud controlled, so you can switch up the colours of the metals, the pearl, the rose, and the small gems on each.
The necklace, called Belle's Rose, is an event exclusive and will never be sold again. You'll also only be able get your hands on it if you have a completed stamp card. (A card from any merchant's Enchantment special will work - you can swap a card for a prize from any of the participating merchants.) The necklace is hud-controlled too, so you can wear it in gold, silver or bronze.
My skin, Beauty, is a brand new release from .la petite morte.. It comes in 8 tones, and each pack contains 4 skins with different brow/cleavage options. I'm wearing a medium tone here, but I'm liking the darkest tone too, so will probably try that one out soon... assuming SL co-operates and actually lets me take pictures, which is a bit hit-and-miss these days. Grr!

Coming soon...
The final round of Enchantment opens on 1 February, with "Beauty and the Beast" as its theme.
Yes, you read that correctly - it's the last ever round (sob).

Double trouble
This is my first attempt at a double avatar photo, using some of the tips in this tutorial. I might try this technique again, it's quite useful for showing off a lot of stuff at once. Editing the images together is super easy, but I did have to mess around quite a bit in-world.
Anyway, what I'm showing off in this post is my Black Friday haul from The.Plastik,The sale runsuntil 23.59 on Monday, so if you have any linden dollars left, do not miss it. There's between 30% and 50% off almost all the clothes and accessories, so stock up. Fatpack prices have also been slashed
Also, please note that today is the last day of this round of Enchantment - which also means its the very last day you'll ever be able to get your hands on any of the exclusive prizes.

Miss Miller
Time to get your skates on - there are just four days left for the Rumpelstiltskin round of Enchantment.
In these pictures, I'm wearing both of Dead Dollz's offerings. First is The Miller's Daughter Choker, which is the item for sale.
It includes a stamp card, which you can complete by visiting all the participating stores and tagging the card. Then you can exchange it for any of the prizes in the special prize location. (Full details on the official Enchantment blog.)
This brings us to the Dead Dollz second item - it's the special exclusive Enchantment prize, The Miller's Daughter gown. Isn't it beautiful?
As one of the special prizes, it will only be until the end of November. After this, it will disappear into the ether, never to be seen again.
The fur shrug I'm wearing is from The Annex - it's another special Enchantment item, while my eyes from Adored are another Enchantment prize.
The armwarmers/sleeves are from Junbug, from the Midnight Fae gacha at The Secret Affair. Don't miss this one, because the price for play is set to only 30L for the duration of the event. The prizes include sleeves, wings, and fabulous gowns. This round also ends on 30 November, so don't miss out.
Oh, and a slightly early Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating!

Red
Super quick post. The gorgeous gown is from Junbug, jewelry from May's Soul at Fantasy Gacha Carnival, and hair by Tableau Vivant is an exclusive Enchantment prize.
Happy shopping!

Golden girl
Some more items from Enchantment to show you... and also a brand new outfit from Soedara.
Adored Bodyshop have produced a nice cosmetics collection for this round. I'm wearing the Gilded eyeliner in Princess, and the Golden Girl nails for Slink hands and feet. At their store, you'll also find a set of smoky eyeshadows and some metallic lipcolours (not shown). Their prize is a set of eyes - the Firstborn eyes - containing six different colours of system and mesh eyes. (I'm wearing goldenbrown.)
Modish, meanwhile, have released a set of eyebrow tattoos (Mesh Project compatible, not shown), and their prize is the Auric gold jewelry set of earrings and bangle.
Soedara's latest outfit is Aegle Nymph of the Evening set of mesh silks. In the box you'll find the mesh top and skirt in standard sizes (plus a bonus top to accomodate your Lolas, etc).
There are several huds giving you tons of customisation options. You have four choices of fabric tint, and change its transparency, which also means you can wear the top and skirt as necklace and belt instead, if you want. The hud also allows you choose between bead colours and 13 jewel colours, plus four colours of metal. Also included is a pretty circlet in three colours (gold, silver and bronze).

The expectant queen: More from Enchantment
A quick post to show you some more items from the upcoming round of Enchantment.
W.Winx & Flair have produced some pregnancy-themed poses for this round as their in-store exclusive. The set includes poses with hands protectively cradling tummy, or supporting a tired back! They inspired me to take these shots of a pensive queen... perhaps remembering the bargain she made, to surrender her firstborn infant to the imp known as Rumpelstiltskin.
The circlet I'm wearing is the Rumple Tiara from Wimey. It represents the straw which the miller's daughter had to weave into gold, and it comes with a colour change hud for the tiara's gems.
Finally, the necklace and ring are from yumyums. Regarding the necklace, there are 11 different gem styles to choose from, while a hud lets you change the metal of the ring and the gem surround, and the colour of the leather cord.

Enchantment preview: Rumpelstiltskin
The new round of Enchantment - the stamp card rally with fairytale theme - opens in November.
The inspiration behind this round is Rumpelstiltskin. A poor miller lies that his daughter can spin straw into gold. Alas for our heroine; the king believes him and has her locked up in a tower room full of straw, and a solitary spinning wheel, so that she can increase his net worth by morning... or have her head chopped off.
Rescue shows up in the shape of imp, who spins the gold in exchange for her necklace, her ring, and finally the promise of her firstborn child when she is queen.
A year passes, and the new queen has forgotten all about the imp, and gives birth to a beautiful, much loved child. The imp suddenly appears and demands that she relinquish the infant to him, although he offers her a second chance: if she can discover his name in three days she can keep the child.

Enchantment: The trespass
So I have spare time and internet access for a couple of days... time to squeeze in a couple of quick posts!
August is drawing to a close, which means you have only a few days left to shop the current rounds of various events.
One of those is Enchantment, which this round is inspired by the tale of Bluebeard. You'll find special items at each of the participating stores, and packaged with each of these is a stamp card for the rally.
Wear your card or cards and click the stamp machine at each of the 20 stores. Each completed card entitles you to choose a prize at the special prize mall. (Detailed instructions on the official blog.) The prizes are extra special as they are exclusive to the event and will never be available again.
In these photos, I'm wearing the Jeune Mairee gown from The Muses, and necklace and headwrap from Frogstar.
The setting is the 'Skybox of Unfortunate Princesses', also from Frogstar, and in the background you can see the gruesome 'Bluebeard Bodies' prop from DRD.

Enchantment preview: Bluebeard
Fairytales in their original form tend to be gruesome, and Bluebeard - the inspiration for the upcoming August round of Enchantment - is more gruesome than most.
A young woman marries an infamous local aristocrat, possessed of and named for his blue beard. Soon after the marriage, Bluebeard tells his wife (unnamed in the story) that he must travel for business, and will be gone some weeks. He hands her to keys to every room in his castle, telling her she may access all the rooms except one, on pain of his anger and punishment.
Inevitably, the young wife breaks his interdict, and makes her way to the secret chamber discovering its horrific secret; Bluebeard has murdered his previous wives and hung their remains from hooks on the wall. She drops the key into a pool of blood, and try as she might, she cannot remove the bloodstain from the magical key.
Bluebeard then returns unexpectedly early, but the young woman is rescued by her brothers in the nick of time.

Current rounds of Enchantment and We Love Role-Play end this weekend
A lot of events are ending this weekend, as the calendar changes from May to June.
One of these is the current round of We Love Role-Play (the new round will open on 4 June).
Just to be confusing, I'm wearing items from both the soon-to-end and soon-to-open rounds.
Currently available is the Zinga belt (with matching anklets, not seen) from May's Soul. Don't forget all items at We<3RP are discounted between 25-50% so take advantage of the opportunity to get it for less. Coming soon is the hair-headdress combination from Emo-Tions. (Note: The hair, horns, crown and face chain are one piece, so you can't wear or move them around individually.) The pack includes a hud which lets you change hair tone and the colour of the jewels.
The tunic/ camisk I'm wearing is a recent release from Soedara, called Siv of the North, and I'm not actually wearing half of what you get in the box. Each pack includes two colours of the mesh tunic in two lengths each, circlet, chore belt, rope belt, boots, and bracelets. Thre's also a clothing layer undershirt (to keep those nips covered!) and and armbands, which I am wearing.
Another event ending this weekend is Enchantment. The bracelets I'm wearing are from Boom, and they're one of the special, exclusive prizes you can choose when you buy an Enchantment item from participating stores and complete the stamp card contained within. This post on the official Enchantment blog explains the concept in five languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, and German).
Slurls to the stores after the jump, and you might like to check out this post on Seraphim which has some previews of the items.

Love is blind... more from Enchantment!
More from Enchantment! (The event is still going strong, and runs all month.)
The charming and inventive fairytale gown is from The Annex . I love the subtle base colour, while the whole concept is really original. The skirt cage is like something from underneath a crinoline, but here it's outerwear, festooned with flowers.
Lark's wild rose accessories are so versatile, and could work for several RP characters - fae, slave, elf... even panther or wild girl. The armbands can be bought in the main Lark store, but the mask is one of the special prizes, which you'll only be able to obtain at the prize location with a completed stamp card.
My hairstyle is the main Enchantment release from Mina Hair although I have to give you a heads-up... Mina's prize is a fatpack of a related style. The prize style concept is hair spread on a pillow, but it's also great for a windblown look. I actually used it for my water sprite look in the Naiad post.
Whenever you buy a special Enchantment release, you get a stamp card which entitles you to choose a never-to-be-available-again prize. Get your card stamped at each of the Enchantment stores, then take it along to the prize hall.
IMPORTANT - you can wear as many cards as you like when getting them stamped, but only wear one card at a time when you are redeeming prizes. Otherwise, there will be tears.
I went into more detail on the process in this post, if you'd like to know more. Alternatively, it's also explained (in different languages!) on the official Enchantment blog. You'll also find a full list of participating stores - with slurls - there.

FF2014: The Naiad
Tonight I'm a naiad... Outfit by Mermaid Treasure & Boutique, jewelry by AZE Jewelry Designs, skin by Niekra's Dreams, scales from Folly, and eyes by Musa, all from the Fantasy Faire.
The hair is a special Enchantment stamp card prize by Mina. Links to participating designers and stamp card instructions (in five languages!) on the official Enchantment blog.

Marble halls
There are so many events starting in the next few days... I hope you have a lot of Lindens saved up.
Enchantment (which is no longer at a single location) opens on 1 May. This round is inspired by Sleeping Beauty, and this beautiful gown comes from Apsara (sister brand to Bilo and Jalwa).
The fairytale castle in the background is by Kalopsia - please note, it's a decorative item rather than a build, so it's not suitable for setting up home. It's land impact out of the box is 38, but of course making it bigger (it's mod) will increase that. It's perfect for adding a touch of magic to your sim!
Don't forget, any time you buy an Enchantment item, you'll get an empty stamp card. Fill it by visiting each of the participating stores to get your stamp, then tp to the secret location to choose your exclusive prize. More details on the process in this post.
The upcoming round of Fantasy Gacha carnival opens on 4 May. The pendant comes is from Things, and floral wreath is from Le Forme. Both are common prizes (yay!).
Also opening on 4 May is the new round of We Love Role-Play. Round 11 should be open until 31 April, so it's your opportunity to get this special edition of The Skinnery's Quiana at a discounted price. There are four additional fantasy tones available, so don't miss this chance.

"Is there anybody there?"
A new round of Enchantment opens on 1 May with the theme of Sleeping Beauty. Augurer of Luminary has created the Beatrice outfit especially for it. Inspired by sleep, the outfit represents a nightgown and robe. There's nothing to stop you wearing it during the daytime however.
The format of Enchantment is very different this time around; the releases are not to be found at an event location, but in the designers' mainstores. (Be honest - with all the events nowadays, when was the last time you went shopping in SL stores?)
To encourage you to make the trip around all the stores, there's a very special incentive in place - exclusive prizes, which will never be available again. You just need to get your card stamped; and everything is explained after the jump.

Little red
Another trip to Enchantment! This is the Rotkappchen (the German name for Little Red Riding Hood) outfit from Junbug, which comes in three different colourways. It's based on a traditional dirndl, and could be a great peasant, wench or servant's outfit, for all that it's so lush and colourful. It would certainly make a change from the homespun browns we're used to seeing.
The ballerina shoes are from Enfant Terrible, and once you've bought your favourite colour shoe, you can change out the sock textures with the hud. Left and right socks can be changed separately, if you want to be a little unconventional!
The flower and ribbon head wreath also comes from Enfant Terrible, and the neckalce and ring from Bokeh. Once again, poses are from Infiniti
As with yesterday's post, the poses are from Infiniti. You can see that some of the dynamic 'Running scared' make the mesh gown look as though it's billowing in the air.
I mentioned yesterday that 'Better to see you with' was a great set for showing off nails... but I forgot to mention that it also includes a set of nail appliers for Slink avatar enhancment hands. Sorry! The 'Little Red' set includes five different tones of red, from bright scarlet to deep burgundy.
All Enchantment items are exclusive to the event, so if you want anything there, now is the only chance you'll get...

Blood of the wolf
Some more items from Enchantment and the Fantasy Gacha Carnival.
First up, the outfit is 'The Wolf' from The Library. It includes the wolf-head hooded cape, pant and boots and is currently at Enchanted. Likewise, you'll find the necklace and cuff from AZE Designs there too. (AZE have a few different styles of cuff out, each with different insignias, and available for men or women.)
My other items are from the FGC, including the small sword from Raare from their dragon eggs gacha. The tattoo is from Demonic, and roleplay belt from PFC, while the hair which is specially designed to be worn under hoods is from Little Bones. (NB there is no back to this hair so it's not for general use, but you could always add it to another style.)

The red witch
Another Red Riding Hood-inspired outfit from Enchantment. This mesh gown is from Peqe and comes in two ombre shades; red to black or black to red. There's a matching hood included which you can wear or not as you please, and there are three different sizes to help accomodate your hair.
The gown isn't entirely innocent as there's a skin-revealing cut-out at the back. I think it could be a great option for a sorceress or priestess - someone with a little magic and maybe even some menace to them.
The customisable necklace is from Aisling at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival - this one is the rare, which comes with a hud for multiple texture change options.
Additional jewelry comes from Bokeh (also at Enchantment), Magic Nook and Soedara, while the skin is from Belleza at Collabor88 (this round will be changing over very soon).
