Love is blind... more from Enchantment!
More from Enchantment! (The event is still going strong, and runs all month.)
The charming and inventive fairytale gown is from The Annex . I love the subtle base colour, while the whole concept is really original. The skirt cage is like something from underneath a crinoline, but here it's outerwear, festooned with flowers.
Lark's wild rose accessories are so versatile, and could work for several RP characters - fae, slave, elf... even panther or wild girl. The armbands can be bought in the main Lark store, but the mask is one of the special prizes, which you'll only be able to obtain at the prize location with a completed stamp card.
My hairstyle is the main Enchantment release from Mina Hair although I have to give you a heads-up... Mina's prize is a fatpack of a related style. The prize style concept is hair spread on a pillow, but it's also great for a windblown look. I actually used it for my water sprite look in the Naiad post.
Whenever you buy a special Enchantment release, you get a stamp card which entitles you to choose a never-to-be-available-again prize. Get your card stamped at each of the Enchantment stores, then take it along to the prize hall.
IMPORTANT - you can wear as many cards as you like when getting them stamped, but only wear one card at a time when you are redeeming prizes. Otherwise, there will be tears.
I went into more detail on the process in this post, if you'd like to know more. Alternatively, it's also explained (in different languages!) on the official Enchantment blog. You'll also find a full list of participating stores - with slurls - there.

FF2014: My new shiny
This year, there are a number of Fantasy Faire blogger challenges. You don't have to be an official blogger or even a blogger to take part - if you'd like to know more, details are on the official FF blog.
This post is my shot for 'My New Shiny' - a challenge to find a store you'd never heard of before, and blog or photograph something you love from there.
Even though I haven't spent nearly as much time exploring the Faire as I'd like (must rectify that before it closes on May 11), I did stumble across two treasures.
First of these is the Fantasy Headdress and Collar from Unzipped (on the Asperatus sim). The set includes the filigree mask and sidepieces, the collar, and the black feather-y 'hair'. It's one of Unzipped's RFL items so benefits the American Cancer Society, and it's a very good deal at 400L!
Second is the Mystik foot jewel from Hollyweird, who are sharing a booth with Heartistic and Cutebomb (on the Mourningvale Thicket sim). I love foot and hand jewels, and this one is slightly different in that it's for Slink mid feet rather than flat... perfect for dancers, elegantly perched on the tips of their toes. Again, it's an RFL item, and 150L seems a fair price for such a pretty little trinket.

FF2014: The Unseelie Queen
The Queen of the Unseelie Court has gone a-wandering in the gloom. Though richly robed and fair of face, her desires are as dark and twisted as the thorn trees in the shadowy thicket.
Fantasy Faire 2014 is now open! There are nine beautiful sims to explore, as you shop for a good cause - the American Cancer Society. You can read a little of the background here on the Fantasy Faire blog. Click on each sim title link for a list of stores and a map
My dark fae look comes courtesy of Aisling (the amazing headdress and collar), Evie's Closet (gown) and Folly (rainbow sheen and leaf tattoos). Eyes and hair are from Musa and Wasabi Pills respectively, and they're also at the Faire.

Spring fairy
Caverna Obscura have produced two cute Fiola fairy outfits for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The mesh dress is an ultra-rare, the flower wreath is rare, and the wings are a common prize. There's one rigged mesh size only, and a fitted mesh version, so try the demo or be prepared to tweak your avie if needed. There's also shoes, sandals (note: for Gaeline feet only), bracelets and pretty flower fairychairs all stuffed into the machine.
In my hand, I'm carrying a sprig of Lily of the Valley from Naminoke's Suzuran gacha, which includes hair accessories, mouthies, and huggable dolls. Hair is from Emo-Tions - this is a common colour, and the rare prize is a bead and feather headband.
Not at FGC: sandals from Pure Poison, skin from The.Plastik, and flower face tattoo from The Skinnery, at Cosmetics Fair until the end of April.

Lots of new and new-ish things...
If you haven't been to this round of Genre (the Fae round), better hurry because it closes on the 12th before a new round opens on the 15th. I'm wearing the Ella dress from Luminary, and the Butterflies cage from Sweet Lies.
Pure Poison have also just released some awesome flat sandals for Slink flat feet. They're materials-enabled and you get three colours in the pack. Close-up further down!
The Living Light horns are new from The.Plastik (the mainstore has moved to Growl, btw). Each pack contains lots of options for the horns - you can wear just the top part, or the curled part, lights on or off, and with or without candles, endcaps and ribbons. You can also buy texture-change huds for the horns separately, which allow you to customize the candles and the ribbons.
The wings are part of Pucca Fire Caster's War Kitten outfit - discounted now at We Love Role-Play , as is the hair from Milk.

New from Wishbox: Caprice fae silks
Going to try and get a few posts done quickly now, so less talking and more pictures!
I recently picked up the new Caprice silks from Wishbox. In fact, I indulged myself with the fatpack, as Wisp's are always such great value.

Fantasy Faire 2013: Skinthesis II !
PETITE PHOTOBOMB! Not quite... I was hanging out on Fantasy Faire sim The Valley of Ish'Nar and spotted The Blogging Elf herself, Ms Arica Storaro, looking gorgeous as ever. I asked if she'd be the token biggie in a photo and she very graciously agreed, so thanks Arica!
In these pics, I'm wearing the Virtue SE (Fair) RFL petite mesh avatar from Skinthesis (when I blogged a couple of the other avs last time out, I realised I hadn't put anything in the pics to indicate the size of the avatars, so I've tried to rectify that this time!).

Fantasy Faire 2013: Skinthesis
ERHMAHGERD never work with children or petites. Such awful little divas. Won't wear this, won't wear that. No, won't pose like that. Turn up late to set (too much violet juice the night before). No, they won't work with other models. Talk to their agent. Call them on their BS and you're a stupid sizeist biggie.
If you have room in your life for a demanding diva who won't get out of her teeny tiny bed for less than 10,000L a day, look no further than Cane Sutter's Skinthesis. At this year's Fantasy Faire, Cane has put out a range of petite mesh avatars and fairy wing accessories (the wings also come in biggie size for the hoomans among you).

Fantasy Faire 2013: Veiled Emporium and The Library
Veiled Emporium is the store for the group of creators based on the beautiful Black Veil sim, and one of their number (Balthasar Constantine) has made the fantastical object which you see in the foreground of this picture (it's not floating, I swear! It is totally resting on the stone...)
The Aether Clouds Artifact Egg is a roleplay accessory which serves as a relic or artefact which will dispense objects... as well as looking pretty darn cool, thanks to the animated fractal art texture.

Fantasy Faire 2013: Paenya from Elvenbreath
Brand new from Elvenbreath for Fantasy Faire's Relay for Life is this cute and quirky fae outfit called Paenya.
The dress is mesh and fits really nicely, though naturally an alpha layer is included in case of any difficulty. The leaf overskirt meanwhile and dangling blossoms are prim add-ons.

Dyisi from Evie's Closet
The matching boots, though? That was a no-brainer, especially as they were only 75L. You always need good boots, SL and RL!
So I bought the boots there and then... and eventually caved in and went back for the outfit. It's Evie's, I figured, so of course it's going to be top-notch... and I can always wear it as a top with skirts.

I'm wearing a combination of two outfits here, one of which I blogged before. Luckily, I can get around my self-imposed 'not already blogged' rule because the rest of the outfit has never been seen on these pages. Yay!

Butterfly
Just a quick look (sorry for the photo errors!) built around an outfit that's currently on offer for 50L at The Retreat . It's called 'Hymn of the Nature', comes from Kre-ations, and there are four colours available. (As well as the purple in these photos, there's teal, green, and yellow.)

The Plastik - Naamah body jewelry
The Plastik recently released the 'Naamah Body Jewelry' outfit (basically, it's like an ultra-customizable set of mesh silks) and I finally got round to wearing and photographing it today. I decided to check out the Dragon Lolth sim, where I was terrorised by one of the fearsome beasts. Luckily, it decided I wasn't worth the bother and went back to wreaking havoc elsewhere.
Anyway, 'tis quite a skimpy outfit. You have been warned. Oh and... here be dragons.

Sun rises in the East
Pink with red has always been one of my favourite combinations; how they clash yet complement each other all at the same time. There's a lot of pink and red in these pictures, courtesy of another amazing outfit from Bare Rose, a brand new skin-makeup from Aeva, and one of the themed sky boxes on the Humanoid sim.
