Free in December

It's the most wonderful time of the year... for gifts in Second Life of course!

Once again, you'll find a series of Advent Calendar gifts at Alice Project. Each day, you'll find a different gift under the tree (there are two gifts, one for group members, and one that anybody can take).  The styles are beautiful, and have a seasonal touch with red and green streaks through the hair.

I picked up a couple of great gifts while on the Peace on Earth hunt. My outfit (gown, hair accessory and armbands) is from Bubblez Style, and skin is from WoW Skins. All the prizes on this hunt are 0L.

Some designers have also put out gifts at Totally Top Shelf - most of these are near the landing point. That's where the wings I'm wearing from, courtesy of Chimeric Fashions.

Other gift locations include the current rounds of We Love Role-Play and The Arcade (I might wear some of these in a future post).

Free alt gets a makeover

Free alt has a whole new look this week, courtesy of Analog Dog, Filthy, Mayfly and The.Plastik.

Analog Dog at Hair Fair have a whole fat pack of colours of the Mono hair waiting for you. Just click each of the colour packs that you like to get the hair for 0L!

Marbella at Soedara has just put a bunch of Christmas gifts out under the tree at Soedara - and you don't even need to be a group member to grab them.

I put together two outfits from the gifts on offer, which include the Mistletoe camisk (two versions), mesh uggie boots, mesh sweater and thigh band.

Christmas gifts at The Plastik

If you haven't been down to The Plastik lately, you might want to check out their Christmas gift giver which is doling out presents to group members every hour (there's a gift giver for non-groupies too, if you haven't any group spaces left).

Need a new skin? There are some freebies going at Cupcakes - but you'll have to look for them.

One make-up of each tone of the two newest releases have been set to sale for 0L, for today (Friday 5 Oct) only. In addition, the Heavenly set of make-up in each tone has been set to 50L. (All other skins are 499L).

It's a little bit like a secret sale - you'll have to hover over each makeup to discover which is the freebie and which is the discount. A pic of each skin below. Have fun!

Soedara have just launched a new line of jewelled nipple cover to match the Tariqa outfits and jewels (but of course you match 'em up to any of your silks!). They're menu-driven and you can choose from 26 gem covers, just like the Tariq headdress and necklace.

To celebrate, though, there are four simpler tattoo- and clothing-layer nipple covers in the mainstore (or you can grab them on marketplace for 1L each).

GU Summer Meltdown Hunt - Arachne Silks camisk and EMO-Tions hair

A super-quick post tonight! More great prizes from the Gorean University Summer Meltdown hunt - two hairs from EMO-Tions and an outfit from Arachne Silks. One prize from each store at the GU market, and one back in the mainstore.

The Arachne outfit is split in two parts - but they're actually quite independent of each other if you can only find one. (Not one of those times where you have to worry about ending up with only half an outfit!) One part is the camisk, and the other is the 'Coin Slut' accessory set.

GU Summer Meltdown Hunt - Soedara prizes

The Gorean University Summer Meltdown Hunt kicked off yesterday, sponsored by Shack, Arachne Silks and Soul Effects, prizes are 0L and it looks like there's some real treasures among them!

Prizes are split between the Gorean University market and some participants' mainstores. So far, I've grabbed most of the prizes around GU, and am working on picking the others around the grid.

I made it a priority to hit Soedara though, because there are four rather excellent pieces you can pick up, including the shape used in all these photos.

Beltane Festival - Hunt prizes

Hurrah! Another 30L Saturday festival, combining two of my favourite fashion passions - sale shopping and hunting.

This fest is to celebrate the spring festival of May Day or Beltane... Well, it beats dancing naked round a bonfire, leastways in the Celtic weather we've got outside here.

This hunt is also perfect for everyone who operates on a zero-Linden economy in Second Life as all the prizes are free.

As always, I'm only featuring the wearable prizes here, and there are some bits and pieces I haven't photographed this time out. There are lots more prizes to pick up!

Some designers have left the hint in a hunt object at the Beltane sim, and you can find the prize back at their mainstore. Others have gone above and beyond, and put out two prizes, one at Beltane and one at their mainstore.

Free cloak at The Old Forge

I finally made it down to The Old Forge today, having spotted an intriguing outfit from them on the marketplace a while ago.

It might bad news for my linden balance though... they have some amazing looking fantasy outfits down there!

To soften the blow somewhat, they have a really nice freebie - a travelling cloak (which comes in both men's and women's versions) which has seen better days.

Second Life freebie page finally live!

Phew! Well, finally, the Silks Girl second life freebie page is ready. Naturally it's one of those will-never-be-finished jobs!

I've tried to make it a helpful directory of places you can pick up silks, gowns, skin, and hair for free or for very cheap.

I checked all the links today, so they should be up-to-date for ooooh, all of two days!

I hope you find it useful and I'd really love to hear any suggestions for additions. Already I can think of some stores I forgot to add...

Yay! It's the weekend... and the Medieval Fantasy Hunt IV has just kicked off!

There are 53 participating stores in all, including some Gorean girl favourites like Luas, Trident Jewelry, and Voltai.

I'll be showing off some of the outfits in posts over the next few days, but there's more more to the hunt than that - you can look forward to lots of roleplay items and furntiture prizes too.
