Celestial grace

The Fantasy Collective has just opened, and this round is inspired by the theme 'Celestial'. The designers have really stepped up to the mark, so expect to leave this round with heavily loaded armfuls of ethereal gowns and accessories.

For me, one of the outfits I simply couldn't miss was Valentina E's 'We are all made of stars'. The outfit consists of a base gown, an overgown, and a crown (crown not shown here). Each of the items is sold separately, so you can decide exactly what you want to spend your lindens on, and how you'll incorporate the pieces into your inventory.

The Shield Maiden

The Fantasy Collective is now open!

This round is all about Vikings, so you'll find Northern-inspired gowns and tunics, horned helmets, and fierce accessories and furniture.

In the pictures I'm wearing hair from Tableau Vivant, shield and sandals from Noodles, outfit from Distorted Dreams, circlet from Keystone, and horns from OrsiniRed. The poses - which come with sword props - are from Mien.

I'm still the captain of this ship

Surprisingly, pirates aren't always the most trustworthy crew. Should you find yourself mutineered and marooned, best have a fallback option.

If you can't manage to lash sea turtles together with human hair from your back, Mien's raft pose prop should prove invaluable.

Peqe's coat will keep you warm as the sun drops below the horizon, and every captain must have her hat (this one's from May's Soul). Fight off invaders or harpoon fish with EZ Weaponry's cutlass, while you stomp aboard the deck with boots from Hopscotch.

The hair (super-long, and with a headscarf) comes from Olive, and the pants and gold coloured belt are part of the Bonny outfit from Bite & Claw. Necklaces and top (tinted) are from The.Plastik.

Badass

I love this new pose set from Rack Poses - She's a BadAss Bitch!, coming soon to the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. Some of the poses are quite dynamic, like the above jumping pose, and I do appreciate a 'dynamic' pose!  Others are more like traditional stands, check out another two after the jump. Each poses also includes bow, arrow, and/or quiver props. There are six common single poses, and the seventh is a rare double pose.

Also from the upcoming May round of FGC are skin from Bite & Claw, tattoo from Demonic,  boots from Yasum (available in male and female versions), and the Bellona armour from Emo-Tions, which includes arm, hand and chest-pieces.

The dress (or tunic, if you prefer) I'm wearing is one of the new Courtesan Reloaded mesh dresses from The.Plastik.  It's an update of the original clothing-layer and comes in a variety of colourful, space-age and subtle textures. I'm wearing leather in the pictures, check out the full range of on The.Plastik's blog entry or in the mainstore on Growl.

Lastly, the hair is from Tableau Vivant, and you'll find it in the current Pirate edition of  The Fantasy Collective.

The pirate queen

Another couple of items from  The Fantasy Collective: Pirates!

This gown from Junbug is called Temptress of Tortuga and with its narrow waist and full hips, has a definite look of 18th century pannier skirts about it. It's not so exaggerated that you need to go through a door sideways though.  My favourite feature of the gown is the lush vibrance of the skirt though; it's really fabulous. I think it would make a perfect gown for gothic or vamp roleplay.

The hat is from Cellar Door, and it's just part of the High Seas Runt outfit which also includes a corset and mask. It comes in noir and aqua colours.  The eyepatch is from Sweet Poison, and you can choose either the leather or fur variation.

The pirate lass

A new round of The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow, and the theme is Pirates, so think Black Sails, Pirates of the Caribbean, Blackbeard, Anne Bonny and Grace O'Malley! Arrrghhh me hearties!

The very eerie rocks I'm standing on - including wrecked ship and skeleton floating in the waters below - are from Kalopsia. The Lost Pirate Island at original size is only 25 LI. I enlarged the scene though, naturally pushing the LI upwards.

The main outfit I'm wearing is The White Armory's Cabin Girl mesh bloomers set, which includes mesh boots, lace choker, and pirate hat. However, for these pics, I swapped it out for MeshedUp's pirate bandana and hat. The bandana includes two versions, one for wearing with the hat, and one for wearing on its own. You will need a nice sleek hair for a neat fit.  (A shrug from Indyra and belt from The.Plastik complete the look.)

Perched on my shoulder is the Mowie pet from May's Soul / Tentacio. This time he/she is decked out like a fearsome pirate, complete with hat, eye patch, and a hook for a paw. Arrrrr!

Fairyland

It's your last chance to get to the  Fantasy Gacha Carnival today, where you'll find the Jasmyne hat and ribbon choker. They're a joint effort from Le Petite Morte and Enfant Terrible.

The Ariela gown is new from Junbug, and you can find it at The Fantasy Collective, which will be open for another little while. Don't forget, items at TFC are exclusive for the next six months!

Lots more from The Fantasy Collective  including outfit from The White Armory, hand and foot jewels from On a Lark, hair from Tableau Vivant, headdress from OrsiniSun, and pose prop from Captivity Co.

Full credits after the jump!

New round of The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow

A new round of The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow (rumours of its demise had been greatly exaggerated) with the inspirational theme of 'Arabian Nights'.

As always the event is full of exclusive goodies - they will not be available again for at least 6 months.

In these pictures, I'm wearing some mesh silks from Sakide, Slink feet add-on shoes from Hopscotch, and hair jewel from Sweet Poison.

Title goes here

If the last post was quick, this one is supersonic.

Showcasing a couple more objects from Fantasy Gacha Carnival - elven-themed jewelry and belt from Sax Shepherd Designs, plus armbands from Luminary's Byzantine sets.

The bracelet is from tea.s at The Fantasy Collective, and the gown is part of a outift from Maitreya at Collabor88. If you haven't been to this round yet, hurry before it changes over. - you definitely won't want to miss it!

New pants from The.Plastik and more from The Fantasy Collective

These mesh pants are new from The.Plastik - they're the Belle jeans. While some of them are traditional five-pocket denim, many aren't. I've borrowed the vendor pic from The.Plastik's blog, and you can see the jeans-y ones have the typical stitching. (For the record, those seem to be Black, Grape, Gunmetal, Vintage and Vivid Blue.)

The ones I'm wearing here are leather - they don't have the jeans styling, but they do have a kind of embossed texture to add interest. For a roleplay look, other colours I'd suggest checking out Blackness, Brocade, Mahogany and Tweedy.

Next time, I am going to try these pants with boots, but for these pictures I'm wearing SYSY's Mary Janes for Slink feet, from The Fantasy Collective. The poses (including sword props) are at the same event (Captivity Co's 'Light Warrior' set) as is the necklace (Distorted Dream's gold Perfumer necklace).

The skin is another from Bite & Claw's gacha at TFC - this time it's Weep, the very cool Ultra-Rare (what I like about this gacha is that the commons are also very desirable, such as the Red skin used in this post).

More from TFC and FGC!

The Fantasy Collective has been open for a couple of days now, hopefully you've had a chance to look in.

The good news - this won't be the last round of TFC after all! Another full round will start on February 20th.

The fabulous coat is from Junbug - I just love the belt, nipped-in waist and swagger to the hips.
The red-lipped skin is another Fleur gacha prize (common! yay!) from Bite & Claw.  Remember, this items are exclusive to the event, so if you don't snap them up now, you'll have to wait at least another 3 months before you can do so.

Some more items from Fantasy Gacha Carnival as well - the Fashun Crowns and Staff from Enfant Terrible and the Elbensoul jewelry from Emo-tions. Both creators are making some amazing jewelry and accessories so if you can't bear the wait till 1 February, why not check out the mainstores instead!

The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow

The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow, and sadly, this mini-round is the last round ever. The items are exclusive, and won't be available outside the event for 3 months.

I've got a bunch of stuff in this post to show you (and more to follow). First off, the skin is from Bite & Claw, and is the rare 'Bare' option from the Fleur gacha. The skins include matching mesh feet and a shape, and you can buy various appliers at the B&C mainstore if required.

The outfit is from On a Lark, and each pack (natural or jewel tones) comes with a hud giving you three fabric colour options, and four metal texture options. I find it fits really well - I didn't bother wearing the included alpha at all.

As for accessories, Keystone have come up with the beautiful 'Bondmaiden's Headpiece', which comes in gold, silver, or a combination of the two metals. (I've worn Silver and Gold x Silver in these pics.) The necklace is the Tory piece from Distorted Dreams, available in gold or silver. Note - you can click the stone in the centre to choose from nine different textures for it.

Events coming up in the new year

I applied for, and got accepted as, a blogger for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, yay! The insane amounts of envy I experienced on seeing various fabulous items on other blogs were my main motivation for this. The event seems to be getting better and better with each round too.

The event doesn't open till February 1 though, so you've plenty of time to recover from the holidays. Cheeky Pea's participation in the event has just been announced, and you can look forward to offerings from Cheeky Pea, On a Lark, Deviance, The Forge, May's Soul, and loads more. See the full list (four pages) here!

We Love Role-Play will be taking a break in January, so you have until 31 December to take advantage of discounts at the current round, before a new round starts on 4 February.

The Fantasy Collective will be having a 'mini-round' starting on 20 January, while the next full round will start on 20 February. More details nearer the time!

The Fantasy Collective: OrsiniSun's Eyes of the Forest

The Fantasy Collective is is still going strong (I'm not altogether sure when this round ends!)

This outfit is from OrsiniSun, and could be great for lots of characters - leastwise the ones of whom modesty is not demanded. It's called Eyes of the Forest and comes in black, wine, or blue. The outfit includes mesh bottoms, sculpt top, mask, necklace and armband.

I've accessorised with a blowdart from [EZ] Weaponry, Persefona's circlet (free at the Christmas Market) and Glam Affair's Ballerina vanity feet.

Brown eyes

I don't often do posts like this - with lots of layering - because it makes me feel like a cheap imitation of other, better bloggers!

However, at the risk of being accuse of copycatting (almost as bad as copybotting), I wanted to show you what Peqe's Elven outfit looks like when you're not running around half-naked. As you can see, it makes a nice over-tunic.

Also at The Fantasy Collective is the Eldar Armour from The Forge - I've used just part of it here, on shoulders and upper arms. The bow and quiver are from Pucca Firecaster Creations, at We Love Role-Play.

The Fantasy Collective: Peqe and May's Soul

Another couple of items from The Fantasy Collective! The, um, robe I'm wearing is Elven from Peqe. It's a good job elves don't feel the cold, as this is outfit definitely plays with the whole concealing/revealing thing.

Of course, you don't have to wear it like this - you can layer it up and wear it as a tunic (in fact I took another set of pics doing just that, they'll be up in a couple of days).

The circlet and necklace are the Elven jewelry set from May's Soul, and you choose either gold (shown here) or silver options. The belt is in the same range but it's not at TFC, it's at the Gorean Room until the end of month.

Once again, I'm The Skinnery's Bella skin, this time in the Winter makeup (you can see the Fall makeup and the Spring makeup in the last two posts).

More pics and full credits after the jump!

The Fantasy Collective: Geek and ieQED

The Fantasy Collective is open NOW to update group members - it's free to join, so if you'd like to get in ahead of tomorrow's official opening, sign up! If you'd like to see some of the items on offer before you head over, you can check this round's catalogue on the official blog.

Here's a look at another couple of items from the event - first up, the 'Fail' outfit from Geek, which is perfect for panthers or low slaves. It comes in a range of colours - brown in the first pic, and peach after the jump. The outfit includes a mesh top and skirt (with optional bow) and a twig belt. There's also some tattoo layer warpaint (not shown here).

The twig crown and necklace from ieQED (formerly Handverk) come in two variations - with or without the red berries.

The skin is the almost the same as my last post - I used a different makeup from The Skinnery's Bella line (also at the event). This time it's Spring/Summer Fairy in the slightly darker toffee tone.

Not at the event, but still fabulous, are the wonderful Mantha hair from Calico and the Ailida bangles from The Forge.

The Fantasy Collective: On a Lark, The Skinnery, Keystone, The Stringer Mausoleum

Okay, I hope you haven't spent all your linden dollars at Shoetopia, because The Fantasy Collective opens in a couple of days on 20 November (join the  update group in-world for early access) and you will definitely want some of the lush clobber that's on offer.

Today's post shows you a couple of colourways of the Navanna gown from On a Lark. When I opened the preview notecard, honestly, my reaction was 'wow', and I had a hard time picking out a favourite colour. Or two. The mesh gown features a full skirt, laced sleeves and William Morris-inspired bodice! There's a hud-controlled texture-change matching veil, and a gacha necklace.

Also pictured are two versions of The Stringer Mausoleum's Briar Bird Wreath, and Keystone's Woodland circlet. The circlet also comes with a texture-change hud, so I will have to play around with that in a future post!

Finally, the skin is from The Skinnery, and it comes in two different tones and three different makeups. I went for the paler honey tone, and the Fall makeup, which has a lovely peachy glow underlying those delicate leaf markings.

I'll post the slurl to The Fantasy Collective (official blog here) nearer the time. In the meantime, there's lots more pictures after the jump!

The Fantasy Collective is a brand new event featuring exclusive versions of new mesh items from some of your favourite designers. These items will be strictly limited, so you will only be able to find them (in that form) at the event!

The event will run every other month, and the very first one ever is coming soon, opening on 20 November. (The next one after that will be in January.)

Designers confirmed for this round include Enfant Terrible (formerly GSpot), The Forge, Junbug, La Petite Morte, The Library, Apsara/Bilo, On a Lark, May's Soul, The Skinnery and more... full list of designers confirmed so far pasted below, after the jump.

Keep up-to-date with developments on the official The Fantasy Collective website or by joining the update group in-world. Joining the group will give you early access, so I highly recommend it!

I'll post the slurl nearer to the time.
