Free in December

It's the most wonderful time of the year... for gifts in Second Life of course!

Once again, you'll find a series of Advent Calendar gifts at Alice Project. Each day, you'll find a different gift under the tree (there are two gifts, one for group members, and one that anybody can take).  The styles are beautiful, and have a seasonal touch with red and green streaks through the hair.

I picked up a couple of great gifts while on the Peace on Earth hunt. My outfit (gown, hair accessory and armbands) is from Bubblez Style, and skin is from WoW Skins. All the prizes on this hunt are 0L.

Some designers have also put out gifts at Totally Top Shelf - most of these are near the landing point. That's where the wings I'm wearing from, courtesy of Chimeric Fashions.

Other gift locations include the current rounds of We Love Role-Play and The Arcade (I might wear some of these in a future post).

Christmas gifts

Merry Christmas! This is a quick post to share some Christmas gifts with you... the Advent calendars have come to an end at Krystal, so you can grab the last tiara and last gown on on the boards for 0L. (The other items are still available for 10-40L each.)

The necklace and earrings are a gift from House of Rain - look for the blue box under the tree.

The skin is a special holiday offer from La Petite Morte - a special edition of Reagan for just 50L.

Free skins!

The 7 Deadly s{K}ins  VIP group is free to join at the moment (usually 99L), and there's a whole year's worth of group gifts out!

Head to the mainstore,  and grab a landmark to the VIP room where you will find some gifts on the walls and some under the tree.

This offer probably won't last very long so take advantage while you can.

Free stuff, group gifts, and a dollarbie

I've been spending a lot of lindens lately (Arcade, Jewelry Expo, C88 etc etc...) so before I splashed out again, I thought I do some economising! Today's post features two looks which altogether cost a total of 1L.  A lot of the items are gifts from free-to-join groups, one is a dollarbie, and some are advent prizes.

The first look (very Merida!) features a dollarbie gown from Creative Chaos. The second look (after the jump) is a slave girl group gift from Delicious, there are a lot more ways to wear it, and the group is free to join, as always.

Hair for both, and the earrings from the second look, are prizes from the Emo-Tions group advent board. (It's just been switched form a current-day-only board to one which will give you all past gifts also. It can be a little laggy though, so you will probably need to wait a little while for delivery. (I'd suggest not slapping all the boards at once - maybe wait a bit in-between. And only slap each once or it will lag the system even more!)

Another cool thing about it - the gifts are either unisex or include female and male gifts.

Skins are group gifts from Al Vulo or YS&YS, and the poses are from the Advent gifts at Picture This. Again, you can also get the older gifts, and not just the current day's, and you don't even need to be a group member.

Oops, just got round to reading my notecards - today (17th November) is the last day you can pick up this free gift skin from Rozena. As far as I know, you don't need to be a group member. Just buy the skin for 0L!

25L Tuesday trick-or-treat round at Soedara

Today is 25L Tuesday's trick-or-treat round, when all participating merchants will be putting out a gift cauldron for you!

To claim the gifts, you'll need one of the special buckets. Mine landed in my inventory this morning, so if you're not on the subscriber list already, join the 25L Tuesdays Connection group and check notices.

Free alt gets a new Fall look

Free alt has a whole new look for Fall, courtesy of some generous designers.

The sleek hair is a brand new group gift from EMO-tions and the pretty skin is the current offering for Al Vulo fans.

The outfit, comprising a mesh skirt and floral accessories,  is from Velvet Whip.

September is going to be a super-busy month. As well as We <3 Role-Play - round 5 opens tomorrow - there's The Arcade, if you can get in, and two free hunts. Those are the Medieval Fantasy Hunt X and The Renaissance Hunt 3.

Both blogs have some prize previews, but not everything is shown on them. I've photographed two of the outfits which don't seem to have been included on the previews. (The hair is an MFH hunt prize too, from A&A.)

Hunt for flowers at the Shack!

A treasure hunt has just started at Shack. If you can find all 12 flowers, you will be rewarded with a gift box stuff full of prizes. The prize contains a set of silks, camisks, a slave/panther outfit, a female rogue/outlaw outfit, sim/roleplay props, and even an outfit for men.

Free silks... group gift at Velvet Whip

Some nice free stuff in today's pics. Velvet Whip have just put out a brand new group gift, in the shape of these very striking 'Oriental Silks'. The group is free to join too.

The poses are Diesel Works's March gift which is the Natya set. Note: the gift isn't in the usual place, it's towards the back of the store, and it looks like a fairly plain brown box.

Ostara egg hunt at FallnAngel Creations

Some very quick photos to show you a small selection of the fabulous prizes on offer in FallnAngel Creations annual Ostara egg hunt.

The hunt runs across the two FallnAngel sims (the mainstore and the creepy Sanitarium) until 28th March, and you're looking for an brightly coloured and decorated Easter egg (no two are exactly the same). Prizes cost 1L, and when you click you buy you can see what's inside... so sometimes I search it on the marketplace to see what it looks like before committing :)

New Car

This week's colour is called "New Car" so obviously it's just begging to be illustrated with a fairytale gown.  Anyway :) this challenge didn't take long at all. I opened up my CTS wardrobe page (find out more on the marketplace) and simply searched for items tagged with 'blue', and one of the options it brought me back was this beautiful fairytale gown from Deviance.

What's even sweeter is that with a little persistence you can have this outfit for free, as it's one of the prizes in the apple bob in Deviance's basement (there's a lucky chair there too with silks and fairy outfits, changes every five minutes).

Free silks - group gift at Creative Chaos

Just a quick post tonight, to let you know that Creative Chaos have come up trumps again with another great group gift (group is free to join). This outfit is called Narella - Valentine (yes, it's been out for a couple of weeks, but it's still there for you to grab!

Lots of ways to wear it too - it comes with long or short silks, and an open or closed top, plus arm and leg bands.

Free hair at Lamb (why'd no-one tell me?!)

I randomly decided to tp over to Lamb (or !lamb ?) to checkout the hair (I've probably got hair on the brain - lol- cos of the 75% off sale now on at Elikatira) and discovered they have three fatpacks of free hair out, plus a subscriber gift in a single shade.

I think my free alt will be logging in for these puppies :)

The Waiting Hand: Secret sale at Arachne silks

Arachne Silks are marking the end of 2012 with a five day secret sale called 'The Waiting Hand' after the Gorean term for the last days before the new year dawns with the vernal equinox.

Each of the final five days before the end of year will be marked with a new outfit reduced to a practically free 5L. Four outfits are reduced now, and another will be added tomorrow. Unfortunately, you will have to check over a lot of outfits to find which is on sale! The three pictures below might help you, and the outfit added today is in the camisks section (to the left as you enter the store).
