Happy new year!

My first post of 2014 is finishing off last year's Crayon Colour Challenge. Do you believe the superstition that what you do on the first day of the year determines how the rest of the year will go? I hope it's not true, or I might be late for the rest of the year. Oops.

Cherry is a pinky-red colour, and I'm not sure I got it quite right - my outfit doesn't have the right amount of red 'punch' to it. As this is the the last post, I'll let it slide though :)

Aside from the pinky-reds in the outfit (courtesy of The.Plastik and Slave Dressing Room), I'm wearing the Bygone Medusa jewelry from Ellabella (find it at Genre), and another of the new hairstyles from Lelutka. This one is Evilly, and the pack also includes horns and a staff.

(The skin is from Birdy, and I grabbed it at the Wizarding Faire a few months ago, so I'm not sure it's still available.)

Round 8 of We Love Role-Play now open... and a new gown from TWA!

It's late (again!) so not too many words tonight.

Round 8 of We Love Role-Play has just opened, with discounted items from lots of your favourite fantasy and roleplay creators. This round, you will find some extra cheapies and freebies in celebration of the holidays. Check under the trees in each of the buildings.

Featured items in this post include skin from La Petite Morte, hair from Mina, and the beautiful Ensorcelled piercing necklace from Ellabella.

The gown isn't at the event, rather it's a recent release from The White Armory called 'Moors of Winterfell', and it's available in a range of different colours. I'm wearing 'Nightshade', a northern-feeling black and sepia combination!

Enchantment reminder

I'm wearing a bunch of clothes from The.Plastik tonight, so I guess it's a good time to remind you that there's just a couple of days left in their retirement sale. Everything on the second floor of the main building has been discounted 50-75% to make way for new releases coming this Friday.

The mesh sweater, which is my colour match, was a lucky find in The.Plastik's Halloween hunt, but it is one of the items included in the sale. (You now get a colour pack of 4 or 5 different shades or prints for 199L). You can probably guess, this wouldn't be one of my favourite colours, so I'm very grateful this was in the hunt!

The skin I'm using is a current special offer too - Aeva have released 3 tones of a special makeup from upcoming skin line Una. Each is only 50L on Aeva's cart at The Wash. As it's a preview, it doesn't have any appliers yet, but it does have clothing layer lingerie!

The Undying Lands

Round 7 of We Love Role-Play has just opened!

Pictured here is the lovely Magi necklace from Ellabella, in the 'Spiritual' colourway. It's also available in black and green/purple. I think I'm going to go back for that one.

The skin is Elora from Bite & Claw. It includes the elf ears show here, bare feet, and three different tattoos (pictured in this post).

The antlers are another offering from Half-Deer at Enchantment, alongside the poisoned hair comb.

The gown is from The White Armory. Not a Ghost of a Chance is a limited edition, and only available till the end of November. It's a mixture of white and palest greys, and swathed in masses of ethereal ribbons.

Belladonna

If you haven't yet seen La Bellezza, the new release from Junbug, do yourself a favour and check it out. It's beautiful! This Victorian-inspired formal gown comes in black and purple as well as blue. The gown is materials ready too - I'm not though, I'm too afraid to try the new Firestorm beta.

Also featured are some accessories from Enchantment (with a dress this pretty and ornate, you only need to add a few little touches). The hair ornament is from Half-Deer, and it is the Poisoned Hair Comb... as given to Snow White by the Evil Queen. How our model above is impervious to its effects, I have no idea.

The drop earrings (slightly modified) and ring are from Ellabella, and they are a tiny part of the Snow White & Blood Red jewelry set. This set contains two complete sets of jewelry, one in delicate pearly shades, and the other in deeper shades. The circlet, necklace, and face piercings are not shown here.

Sorcery

More from Enchantment... this time, instead of Snow White, it's her wicked stepmother. Her enchanted mirror is not to be seen, so we can only imagine she must be about some other sorcery - crafting a poison perhaps, or casting a spell on the king to keep him in her thrall.

Enchantment will open to the public on 1 November at 12 noon SLT.  Members of the Enchantment update group can attend the event earlier as a perk - starting from midnight on the first. (I'll post the slurl nearer the time!) All items are exclusive to the event, and won't be available afterwards.

We Love Role-Play: Junbug, Calico, Ellabella

One day, I was wandering around We<3RP just before opening, and I saw Calico Ingmann setting up her offerings for the round. The vendor hadn't rezzed yet, but I could see that she was wearing some really beautiful hair!

As luck would have it, it's this very same hair that she's put out for Round 6, so you can grab it at a discount while the event is on.

The 'Clara' style is a long hair featuring an intricate braid that snakes down and around the length of the hair, keeping the hair off your face shoulders. This means it's a great style for showing off jewelry, especially earrings which end up obscured by most styles which aren't updos.

Back... let's go shopping!

Sooo... I'm back from holidays again. Naturally, one of the first things I did when back in SL was go shopping.

Among the places I hit up were Genre, The Dressing Room Fusion and The Attic.

The theme for this month's Genre is 'Western'. I thought I'd just pop in and have a quick look, but there are so many great items there (all 100L or under) that I spent ages trying on demos. And purchasing.

The 'Native American dress' by La Petite Morte would make a great work tunic, while The Muses have a beautifully modest dress that would be perfect for Gorean free women (add your own veils).

We Love Role-Play round 5

We <3 Role-Play opened a few days ago, but due to RL being kind of hectic, I'm a little late with those post!

Anyway, it's another great round of fabulous items at discounted prices.

I just want to point out that there's also a special area for 'cheapies' - and that's where you'll find these silver 'faux elf ears' that I'm wearing. I love them - in fact, I'm almost tempted to go to Etsy and find an RL pair!

We Love Role-Play: The Elven sorceress

I had too much fun taking these pictures. One of (*chanimations offerings for this round of W<3RP is an  updated Sourceress - "Summon and Spell", a photo prop magic circle which gives you a ton of effects to play around with, and which is super easy to use.

A beautiful dress from Senzafine, characterful skin from The.Plastik, and circlet from ellabella went to create this powerful Elven sorceress. Cross her at your peril!

March madness...

It's a madly busy March in Second Life this year. I finally got into the Arcade gacha festival (which is still very busy) and braved the Whore Couture Fair... for a couple of mins, until I decided I couldn't be doing with the lag. It's a bit quieter now though so I might go have another look around.

I did manage to grab what I really wanted from the WCF though - the Daenarys top from The.Plastik. It's intended as a clubwear outfit, but has great roleplay possibilities, as it's essentially a strip of fabric draped around the neck and secured with a tie under the bust... yup, just the sort of thing a Gorean slave girl might be given to wear. (Her's probably wouldn't have sequins though, but I couldn't resist.)

More gifts from The Plastik (and ellabella too!)

As if the pre-Christmas gift givers weren't enough bounty, a couple of gift packages were sent out recently to Plastik group members. Ellabella sent out a non-scripted version of a new release, while the Plastik box was full of goodies...
