Free in December

It's the most wonderful time of the year... for gifts in Second Life of course!

Once again, you'll find a series of Advent Calendar gifts at Alice Project. Each day, you'll find a different gift under the tree (there are two gifts, one for group members, and one that anybody can take).  The styles are beautiful, and have a seasonal touch with red and green streaks through the hair.

I picked up a couple of great gifts while on the Peace on Earth hunt. My outfit (gown, hair accessory and armbands) is from Bubblez Style, and skin is from WoW Skins. All the prizes on this hunt are 0L.

Some designers have also put out gifts at Totally Top Shelf - most of these are near the landing point. That's where the wings I'm wearing from, courtesy of Chimeric Fashions.

Other gift locations include the current rounds of We Love Role-Play and The Arcade (I might wear some of these in a future post).

Enchantment preview: Rumpelstiltskin

The new round of Enchantment - the stamp card rally with fairytale theme - opens in November.

The inspiration behind this round is Rumpelstiltskin. A poor miller lies that his daughter can spin straw into gold. Alas for our heroine; the king believes him and has her locked up in a tower room full of straw, and a solitary spinning wheel, so that she can increase his net worth by morning... or have her head chopped off.

Rescue shows up in the shape of imp, who spins the gold in exchange for her necklace, her ring, and finally the promise of her firstborn child when she is queen.

A year passes, and the new queen has forgotten all about the imp, and gives birth to a beautiful, much loved child. The imp suddenly appears and demands that she relinquish the infant to him, although he offers her a second chance: if she can discover his name in three days she can keep the child.

Inspiration Point hunt & shoes from Lassitude & Ennui

So in-between grabbing Advent gifts last night, I wandered over to the Inspiration Point sim hunt and scored a bunch of stuff for 0L.

It's not specifically RP-oriented but there are some very nice items you'll be able to incorporate into a look (and probably do a better job than me!) My favourites include the fur collar and muff from The Secret Store, plus the silk tees from House of Fox. HOF also have a fabulous, sleek red dress/tunic as a hunt prize.

I finished the look with skirts from an older Evie's Closet outfit and gorgeous shoes from Lassitude & Ennui, which are at the current round of  We Love Role-Play (close-up after the jump).

Both hunt and W<3RP run until 31 January, so hopefully you'll find some time over the holidays to check them out, if you so desire!

Hunt at the Shack - free stuff!

Shack are participating in the Femdom Hunt, and their hunt prize contains lots for anyone roleplaying as a slave girl. In the box you'll find a set of dancing silks, a pretty camisk, and a work tunic. Also - not shown here - are a box of 'Whipped' tattoos, if you've been punished recently. Ouch.

A quick word about the hair - I do love a fabulous swishy ponytail style - which is from Mina and available now (discounted!) at We Love Role-Play. This round will be open until the end of the month, when it closes for a few days before re-opening at 3pm SLT on 4th November.

Two hunts for roleplayers

September is going to be a super-busy month. As well as We <3 Role-Play - round 5 opens tomorrow - there's The Arcade, if you can get in, and two free hunts. Those are the Medieval Fantasy Hunt X and The Renaissance Hunt 3.

Both blogs have some prize previews, but not everything is shown on them. I've photographed two of the outfits which don't seem to have been included on the previews. (The hair is an MFH hunt prize too, from A&A.)

Hunt for flowers at the Shack!

A treasure hunt has just started at Shack. If you can find all 12 flowers, you will be rewarded with a gift box stuff full of prizes. The prize contains a set of silks, camisks, a slave/panther outfit, a female rogue/outlaw outfit, sim/roleplay props, and even an outfit for men.

I had a quick run around some of the Simply the Best's spring hunt locations this morning and grabbed a few prizes, including some romantic gifts from Roawenwood and Blue Moon Enterprises, and some raunchier offerings from Arachne Silks and House of Dragovar Silks!

It's a 10L hunt, but you can find previews of the prizes at the official Simply the Best blog. There are lots of home and garden items, but I mostly picked out clothing, cos that's my thing :)

Another challenging colour (GREEN!!!) this week, but a stroke of serendipity led to me finding this kimono in Falln Angel Creations Ostara egg hunt. (The hunt ends at 2am SLT on 28th March so you have just a few hours left. Slurls and prize pics in this earlier blog post.) Otherwise I'd have had to scour my inventory searching for 'lime' and 'chartreuse' and who knows what else.

 I was sneaking a peek at the prizes on offer from the Pink Fusion hunt, and one outfit stood out for for me. It's the Artemis outfit from Naminoke, and I'm calling it 'kimono-esque' cos I'm not sure how authentic it is... but it's pretty!


Prizes are 5L each, there are 55 stores participating, and the hunt runs until 15 April. You can find the hints and slurls for this hunt, plus prize previews,  on the Depraved Nation blog.

Ostara egg hunt at FallnAngel Creations

Some very quick photos to show you a small selection of the fabulous prizes on offer in FallnAngel Creations annual Ostara egg hunt.

The hunt runs across the two FallnAngel sims (the mainstore and the creepy Sanitarium) until 28th March, and you're looking for an brightly coloured and decorated Easter egg (no two are exactly the same). Prizes cost 1L, and when you click you buy you can see what's inside... so sometimes I search it on the marketplace to see what it looks like before committing :)

This ethereal gown ('Vanafindiel *white as snow*') from K a s h i e is available free as part of Atooly's Hunting for Winter hunt. It's very cute so I thought I'd style it up to show you. Most of the other items in the pic are free or on sale, so even if Lindens are tight, you might find something worth investigating!

Last day of the Midwinter Fair

Today (23rd December) is the last day of the 30L Midwinter Fair, so if you haven't been yet, better hurry!

There are lots of 30L and some 50% items on offer and a Christmas tree with gift items, all 5-10L, most of which are transferable. Naturally, you can 'gift' some of these to yourself :)

There's also a hunt with free prizes - look for the Christmas baubles dotted around the market. Some stores have prizes back at their mainstores too.

Ooops... almost the last day of the CAH In Captivity hunt

Erk! I almost missed this one... tomorrow is the last day of the Creative Angel's In Captivity Hunt.

As you can maybe guess from the hunt name, it's got something of a Gorean/BDSM theme, so lots of great prizes for slaves from stores like Slave Dressing Room, Shack, Void Skins and more.

If I get a chance, I'll add some pics in, otherwise I'll be hunting. There are previews of all the prizes on the hunt page in any case.

Grab your hud (it's free, as are the prizes) at the start point and get hunting, before it's too late!

Hunt for a free mesh camisk at Soedara!

I'm feeling a bit uninspired (or just plain lazy) tonight but I wanted to let you know that you can grab an outfit I blogged previously for free on the Seven Sins hunt!

Soedara are offering the City Girl mesh camisk in red (to represent the sin 'Lust'). In the box you get an opaque and a transparent version of the camisk in various sizes, plus the accompanying jewelry.

Shack Spider Hunt
Hunt starts 26 October and will run through the 28th. Prizes are free.
Blue spiders are menswear, green for panther, pink silks, and black for rags. Outfits are halved between two spiders, so you will need 1a and 1b for the full outfit.

Split between Shack mainstore location and Forest Port (Gorean BTB roleplay)

These sims will be busy and prone to lag... so to make your own experience, and everyone else's, better, please de-prim and de-script! If you're worried about looking silly, you could always be invisible with an all-over alpha, like this marketplace freebie.

Creative Angel Hunt: Some prizes

When I saw the poster for CAH4 up at Shack, I knew I'd have to check this hunt out.. and it's got lots for roleplayers along its trail.

As well as the aformentioned Shack, Silks Girl favourites Floor Candy and Slave Dressing Room are on the list.

It's a hud-controlled hunt, so the very first thing you'll need to do is stop off at the hunt HQ to grab your CAH hud (otherwise you won't be able to take any of prizes you do find!). It includes all the hunt locations and hints - I haven't found a hints webpage. The hud is free, as are the prizes. Yay!

Free stuffs! Some prizes from the 30L October Fling Fair

Some very quick photos of hunt prizes from the 30L October Fling Fair. Look for the bright orange, fairly squat pumpkins dotted around the fair, which you can buy for 0L (though earlier it seemed like a few weren't quite ready, so don't stress, just move on to the next prize).  There are some sneaky hiding places though!

Some stores have prizes back at the mainstore too, and keep an eye out for some of the 30L and 50% off bargains that merchants have put out too. Don't spend all your lindens though, because the 25L Fall Fete kicks off very soon... more on that later.

(Seldom Blue): Finding Fab Free hunt prize

The Finding FabFree hunt kicked off today, and a notecard from IndigoBlue Dagostino, previewing the Seldom Blue prize. I was intrigued so ran off to hunt it down for myself.

There are some great stores on this hunt, and prizes are totally free, so I really hope I can find time to visit some more stops along the way! It runs until 30 September, so hopefully...

The skin, shape, and eyes are on special offer at the moment, as sadly Redbird Body Shop is closing down, so everything is half-price until 15 September. Check it out - there are some cute looks at great prices.

Medieval Fantasy Hunt VI - prize pics

The sixth Medieval Fantasy Hunt kicked off yesterday and I managed to get through a fair chunk of the shops. I don't always follow the hunt order, when a list of participants is provided I tend to pick out my favourites and stores likely to have clothing prizes first.

There are several gorgeous gowns in the hunt, but my single favourite prize among the wearables is the Astrolabe necklace from Trident Jewelry.

FallnAngel Creations - Emma silks in blue for just 20L

Falln are having a flash sale on the Emma silks in blue. Until 2nd September (10pm SLT) the outfit will be 20L on marketplace only. You can buy it for yourself or gift it to a friend!
