Free silks... group gift from Delicious

Another group gift for you today, this time from Delicious, where there's a special extra Easter gift out. It's been named it in honour of Nasrin Sotoudeh, a human rights lawyer in Iran. (You can read more on the included notecard or on this wikipedia page.)

The silks are in a delicate creams and blues, and feature a mesh camisk or tunic top as well as traditional dancing silks.

It might not be out for too much longer, so don't delay. The group is free to join btw, and don't forget to check the week's special offer plus the lucky chairs and midnight mania in the main store.

As in yesterday's post, the poses are a gift from Diesel Works. The Natya set is still available as a free March gift, at the back of the store. Hopefully this slurl will point you in the right direction!

The poses are Diesel Works's March gift which is the Natya set. Note: the gift isn't in the usual place, it's towards the back of the store, and it looks like a fairly plain brown box.

Another challenging colour (GREEN!!!) this week, but a stroke of serendipity led to me finding this kimono in Falln Angel Creations Ostara egg hunt. (The hunt ends at 2am SLT on 28th March so you have just a few hours left. Slurls and prize pics in this earlier blog post.) Otherwise I'd have had to scour my inventory searching for 'lime' and 'chartreuse' and who knows what else.

New from Soedara: Shaman Enchantress

Kimono-esque

 I was sneaking a peek at the prizes on offer from the Pink Fusion hunt, and one outfit stood out for for me. It's the Artemis outfit from Naminoke, and I'm calling it 'kimono-esque' cos I'm not sure how authentic it is... but it's pretty!

Some very quick photos to show you a small selection of the fabulous prizes on offer in FallnAngel Creations annual Ostara egg hunt.

The hunt runs across the two FallnAngel sims (the mainstore and the creepy Sanitarium) until 28th March, and you're looking for an brightly coloured and decorated Easter egg (no two are exactly the same). Prizes cost 1L, and when you click you buy you can see what's inside... so sometimes I search it on the marketplace to see what it looks like before committing :)

Nubian Divinity is one of thelatest releases from Soedara, and these mesh silks are amazingly lavish and rich. They'd be perfect for a priestess, a sorceress, a princess of Mars, or the most pampered of exotic slaves.

The box is stuffed full of opulence, with lots of different options for you to experiment with. here are lots of jewels - as always - including anklets, bracelets, armbands, plus the showpiece collar and  jeweled bodice.

The really interesting thing about 'Radical Red' is that it's.... pink. Well, I'd call it pink anyway, or magenta, or fuchsia... but not really red. And certainly not radical red. That just makes me think of Bolsheviks and MAC's 'Russian Red' lipstick.

I'm wearing a combination of two outfits here, one of which I blogged before. Luckily, I can get around my self-imposed  'not already blogged' rule because the rest of the outfit has never been seen on these pages. Yay!

Adore & Abhor are celebrating five years in Second Life (congrats!) and they're having an in-store event with some designer friends. The anniversary special will run till 16 April,

Evangeline Miles of Evie's Closet has contributed the stunning Cersei gown at a known-down price of 75L. She explains the story behind this on her blog - essentially, this gown was created before the advent of mesh... and then suddenly felt out-of-date.  Evie relented though, and I'm glad she did - you can see it's a stunning gown, regardless of what she calls it's 'limitations'.

Kouse's birthday presents... for you

30L weekend at Velvet Whip

It's a special round of 30L Saturday this weekend, with offers continuting today, Sunday. There are the usual 30L offers, and some half-price deals, with lots of green and Celtic designs in honour of St Patrick's Day.  I couldn't resist the offers at Velvet Whip, where they had the Clover kirtle for 30L and the fatpack of the cute Iris silks half price at 300L.

Plus, if you can't get into Skin Fair, you can console yourself with a trip to The.Plastik where there are more offers on skin line previews.

Emo-Tions at Fashion for Life

Tomorrow is the last day of Fashion for Life, so if you haven't had a chance to explore yet, better hurry!  So far, I've only managed to check out stores on a couple of the nine sims, and the gacha. The builds are amazing though, so if I managed to get all my shopping done, I'll also be trying to take some photos!

If you're a fan of Emo-Tions, make a special effort to get down before FFL closes, as everything they're featuring at the event has been reduced to 99L. This includes their donation items, such as the Semiramis hair in the photos.

Another green (for St Patrick's Day) in Softpaw's challenge - but at least this is a straighforward green, not one pretending to be half blue or aqua or whatever Mountain Meadow thought it was doing!

Burlesque for life

Yay burlesque! The best excuse on the grid to play with chiaroscuro lighting, poses full of attitude, and stripping down to bare essentials.

If you love burlesque in Second Life, you'll already know !dM deviousMind and (*chanimations. This year, deviousMind are participating in Fashion for Life and have three outfits to benefit the cause, one of which is Lady Vayne in lilac.

March madness...

It's a madly busy March in Second Life this year. I finally got into the Arcade gacha festival (which is still very busy) and braved the Whore Couture Fair... for a couple of mins, until I decided I couldn't be doing with the lag. It's a bit quieter now though so I might go have another look around.

I did manage to grab what I really wanted from the WCF though - the Daenarys top from The.Plastik. It's intended as a clubwear outfit, but has great roleplay possibilities, as it's essentially a strip of fabric draped around the neck and secured with a tie under the bust... yup, just the sort of thing a Gorean slave girl might be given to wear. (Her's probably wouldn't have sequins though, but I couldn't resist.)

A couple of outfits I'd envisaged for this colour didn't quite work out, so I ended up puting together a mini-crini Gwen Stefani circa 'what you waiting for' look, starring the Bon Bon dress from Sn@tch (with a PG top added to avoid any potential nip slip!).

I knew Eater's Coma had a fab group gift hair, as I'd seen it featured in a bunch of blogs. What I didn't know was that all their hair styles had dollarbie packs of fantasy colour hair! (Creator Kumii calls the shades 'funky'.)

Free, cheap.... and a new skin from The.Plastik!

Today's post is frees and cheaps... including a very exciting preview of a new skin from The.Plastik!

For today's Lazy Sunday round, The.Plastik put out a previewer of what it seems will be the new skin line, Maelian. For the bargaintastic price of 75L, you can grab the skin (one tone only) which includes several tattoo layers, eyebrow shapes, and five pairs of eyes.
