If you've been living under an in-world rock, you might not have heard that Truth Hair currently have a massive sale on, until 15 December. Everything at the mainstore is 50%, even the most recent releases. (The exceptions being those styles which are currently exclusive to various events round the grid.) So now is the time to stock up on anything you may have missed!

Also, Leafy skins are back on the grid, and there's another sale. You can pick up a gacha skin for as little as 40L, or 'standard' skins are up to 175L, with big reductions on fatpacks as well. Hopefully this means there will be new skins - and appliers! - soon.

Clothes are from Senzafine, jewelry from Zaara, and the belt is part of an outfit from Evie's Closet.

Double trouble

This is my first attempt at a double avatar photo, using some of the tips in this tutorial.  I might try this technique again, it's quite useful for showing off a lot of stuff at once.  Editing the images together is super easy, but I did have to mess around quite a bit in-world.

Anyway, what I'm showing off in this post is my Black Friday haul from The.Plastik,The sale runsuntil 23.59 on Monday, so if you have any linden dollars left, do not miss it.  There's between 30% and 50% off almost all the clothes and accessories, so stock up. Fatpack prices have also been slashed

Also, please note that today is the last day of this round of Enchantment - which also means its the very last day you'll ever be able to get your hands on any of the exclusive prizes.

New round of We Love Role-Play opens tomorrow

A brand new round of We Love Role-Play opens tomorrow (by my counting, that's round 10, so congratulations to all the organisers and designers who've made it such a great event).

You'll find my hair (Mina), headdress (Keystone), and eyes (Musa - gacha) all there, and all discounted between 25% and 50% for the duration of the event. The poses are from the event too - the Huntress set from !bang.

The beautiful Grecian gown is another original mesh creation from Junbug, and you'll find it at the One Word event. This round is inspired by the word "tragedy", and the gown is called Electra, after the matricidal princess. The outfit is two pieces - the gown itself and optional shoulder drapes.

The staff is from EZ Weaponry. I'm a poser, not a fighter, so was really happy to see that with this item there's a purely cosmetic version included! Don't fret, naturally it includes all the other versions and gestures you need to do your opponents some real damage.

I'm wearing a bunch of clothes from The.Plastik tonight, so I guess it's a good time to remind you that there's just a couple of days left in their retirement sale. Everything on the second floor of the main building has been discounted 50-75% to make way for new releases coming this Friday.

The mesh sweater, which is my colour match, was a lucky find in The.Plastik's Halloween hunt, but it is one of the items included in the sale. (You now get a colour pack of 4 or 5 different shades or prints for 199L). You can probably guess, this wouldn't be one of my favourite colours, so I'm very grateful this was in the hunt!

The skin I'm using is a current special offer too - Aeva have released 3 tones of a special makeup from upcoming skin line Una. Each is only 50L on Aeva's cart at The Wash. As it's a preview, it doesn't have any appliers yet, but it does have clothing layer lingerie!

Moving sale at Sweet Poison

Sweet Poison are moving or re-decorating (not sure which) and have a 50L sale on at the moment.

Discounted items will not be carried in the new in-world store.

The sale at Soedara (hurry!)

If you want to take advantage of the sale at Soedara, better hurry, because it only runs through tomorrow (Monday 26 August).

Once you tp over to Soedara, you'll see that many of the outfits (not the very newest releases) have a colour option rezzed on the floor in front of the main vendor. This is the sale item, reduced in price by 30,40 or 50%.

Sun and Stars

Loaded down with jewels tonight, courtesy of Soedara! The face chain is one of the We <3 Role-Play offerings which is 40% off at the event. The bodice, armband and bracelets are parts of other Soedara releases.

The stunning gown is from The Lounge - it's called 'My Sun and Stars' (supply your own Khal Drogo) and I'm really impressed with the texturing. Love it. It's another We <3 Role-Play item, so it will be discounted too.  (The event opens tomorrow and there is some amazing stuff down there, let me tell you!)

Crayon Colour Challenge: Week 23, Coconut

Yes, I'm back! Lots of catching up to do (so much that I'm not actually going to bother with most of it), starting with some posts for the Softpaw's crayon challenge.

This week's is Coconut or as I've been thinking of it, not-quite-white. Hopefully this gown from The White Armory fits the bill.

I've accessorised with the Arachzis horns from Plastik and worn one of the Lionheart skins - so I'd have an excuse to tell you that the Plastik annual half price sale is on, until July 25. What are you waiting for? Go take advantage!

While we're talking about sales, the hair is from Magika, who are in the midst of a half-off sale. Check it out at the mainstore until July 10.

Sales.... at Solange! and Kouse's Sanctum

Oh noes... Kouse's Sanctum is closing. All gowns at the mainstore are reduced to 75L until 28th June, after which time they'll no longer be available. Kouse will be focusing on her jewelry line instead, so don't miss this chance to grab some of her gorgeous gowns at great prices.

The sale at Solange is less final. For a limited time - not sure when the sale will be over - many silks and lingerie are 50% off. Shoes and bargain basement items are reduced to 10L and will be discontinued when the sale ends. Some outfits are reduced to 100L, and most will be moved to the bargain basement when the sale ends. The reductions are only available at the flagship store in-world.

Retirement sale at Soedara

I'm a jinx! I included this outfit in Wednesday's crayon colour challenge post, and now it's being retired!

Soedara's City Girl - Chains and Stones outfit has been reduced to 100L (originally 499L) so don't miss this last chance to stock up. Once the sale is over, the outfit will be replaced by a new, re-invented style, and the original will no longer be available.

Yes, it's a pretty racy outfit (so if avatar nudity scares you, look away now) but of course you can layer it up and wear over a more modest base outfit.

Just a quick look (sorry for the photo errors!) built around an outfit that's currently on offer for 50L at The Retreat . It's called 'Hymn of the Nature', comes from Kre-ations, and there are four colours available. (As well as the purple in these photos, there's teal, green, and yellow.)

I'm very happy to see that medieval-fantasy (and more) store, Kouse's Sanctum, has a presence at The Wash's annual 10L cart sale... who can say no to a fabulous bargain, especially when it's one of Kouse Singh's beautiful gowns?

So far, I've been quite restrained and only bought five out of the 12 gowns she's put out (set me back a whopping 50L, that did). I've just photo'd two of them here, but I did grab a couple of snaps of the vendors so you could have a sneak preview before you, presumably, rush off to buy a few yourself!

Gypsy girl (and psst, there's a sale at Nomine)

When I saw these new mesh tie tops from Nomine, I immediately thought 'gypsy' as I'm very literal like that. Paired with this headscarf hair from Oblivion, now available at the Genre event, it was the basis for the look. (The scarf is colour-change, with seven different options available.)

Roleplay outfitters ViGo are celebrating their fifth anniversary (congratulations!) so until 5 January "almost everything" in the store is 50% off. I did check a bunch of outfits though, including new releases, and couldn't see any not reduced...

The Waiting Hand: Secret sale at Arachne silks

Arachne Silks are marking the end of 2012 with a five day secret sale called 'The Waiting Hand' after the Gorean term for the last days before the new year dawns with the vernal equinox.

Each of the final five days before the end of year will be marked with a new outfit reduced to a practically free 5L. Four outfits are reduced now, and another will be added tomorrow. Unfortunately, you will have to check over a lot of outfits to find which is on sale! The three pictures below might help you, and the outfit added today is in the camisks section (to the left as you enter the store).

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

A quick post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or Solstice Celebration (ok maybe a couple of days late for that last one).

Today, Christmas Day, is a very special "gift round" of 25L Tuesday, with all the participating designers leaving out a special gift for you (some have sales too). Read more on the 25L Tuesday blog. 

I guess now is a good time to thank the wonderfully talented creators in Second Life for the beauty and creativity which they bring to our SLives all year round - and also for any Christmas gifts they might have given us :)
