The victrix
Just a quick reminder that you have only a couple of days left before the July round of We Love Role-Play closes (the August round opens on the 6th, a couple of days later than usual). That's where you'll find this original mesh, clasically-inspired gown from Luminary.
Continuing the classical theme is the Christine hair from Lelutka which debuted at Hair Fair. The Trojan Necklace and Gypsy Bracers are both from The Forge. The necklace is strictly limited to 200 in quantity at Project Limited which opened on 20 July. The bracers first appeared at the Countdown Room but will probably reappear at the Forge mainstore before too long.
By the way, if you happened to glance at my profile, I mentioned that I'm travelling a lot at the moment, so not really blogging. I just happened to have a few days at home and managed to squeeze in a couple of posts. (Not fibbing about not blogging!). I might be able to squeeze in another post before the weekend, if not, see you in September or October... Inshallah!

The wandering stars, the wandering June
So I finally got a chance to log in (busy RL, SL not cooperating) and head over to Collabor88. This month's theme is nautical, and there are logs of fun things to pick up. Not least among them are this cool hair from Clawtooth (optional starfish attachment not shown) and top from Milk Motion.
Next on my list to check out is (Tales of Fantasy gacha event) where you'll find these horns from The Forge. The necklace is from Luminary and you'll find it at the upcoming round of Genre, which opens on June 15.
We Love Role-Play is still going strong, with everything discounted between 25 and 50%, including these pants from Paper Moon and the gorgeous bag from The Library.

Cold as ice
The new round of We Love Role-Play opens tomorrow. Lots more quality items, all at 25-50% off. The rules for the event have changed somewhat, and new releases are now the general order of the day.
From the event, I'm wearing the Deucalion Halo from from Random Matter. You buy individual colours for 190L each, or splash out and get the 'fatpack' texture change version for 500L. With it, you can mix and match the colours as well as use each individual colour.
Alongside it, I'm wearing Keystone's Corva circlet, which includes four different shades. The stag pauldrons are from ieQED, while the belt is included with Luminary's Jane gown (50% off for the event). My spooky eyes are one of the three pairs of mesh and system eyes in theSkinnery's Demon Eyes set.
My skin is from The.Plastik - it's another of the Astrali skins, this time in a fantasy tone. There are over 100 tones of this skin, and luckily there's an extensive appliers pack available for each.
My main outfit - a skirt and corset combination - is just one of On a Lark's 25L Tuesday offerings. It's been a while since I did the 25LT rounds, but On a Lark is always a must-visit for the amazing deals. You have just a few hours left to take advantage!

FF2014: Fairytale
I took some photos at Fantasy Faire sim Hope's Horizon the other day, and noticed that the white tree near the summit was labelled 'RIP Daddy'. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that tears came to my eyes.
Sometimes, it's little touches like this that remind us what Fantasy Faire is all about. There isn't a single one of us who hasn't been touched by cancer in some way, whether someone dear to us has been taken too soon, or is bravely battling the disease.
While the funds raised for the American Cancer Society are vital, the Faire also gives us a chance to remember and honour those we have lost to the disease, and be thankful for and celebrate loved ones who have pulled through.
It's in this vein that Augurer of Luminary has included moving tributes with each of her RFL items and named the gowns for the women in question. I'm wearing Annette, a beautifully modest outfit, fit for a fairytale princess.
I've teamed it with House of Rain's Melt necklace and earrings, and I'm sitting on {anc}'s Fairytalebook pose prop. (You have to see this in-world; my photos don't do it justice, and it's a mere 4 land impact.)
Tomorrow is the last day of Fantasy Faire; so visit while you still can.

"Is there anybody there?"
A new round of Enchantment opens on 1 May with the theme of Sleeping Beauty. Augurer of Luminary has created the Beatrice outfit especially for it. Inspired by sleep, the outfit represents a nightgown and robe. There's nothing to stop you wearing it during the daytime however.
The format of Enchantment is very different this time around; the releases are not to be found at an event location, but in the designers' mainstores. (Be honest - with all the events nowadays, when was the last time you went shopping in SL stores?)
To encourage you to make the trip around all the stores, there's a very special incentive in place - exclusive prizes, which will never be available again. You just need to get your card stamped; and everything is explained after the jump.

More from We Love Role-Play
Another We Love Role-Play post! In these pictures, I'm wearing lots from We<3RP, such as the Gertrude gown in pink from Luminary. I love the folds and gathers on the sleeve, and the style looks authentically medieval (to my uneducated eye at least).
I'm wearing TheSkinnery's special fairy tone of the Quiana skin again (50% off! do not miss!). This time out, I'm wearing the skin with its own eyebrows. (Last time, I added tattoo layers to the no-brow skin.) It would be great if more designers offered no-brow skins as standard, it seems to be becoming more popular. For me, it's not a make-or-break in purchase decision, but it's great to have that flexibility. (A range of popular appliers are included too, another big positive.)
I also wish all hair designers made 'variety' or 'naturals' packs! I'm not capable of sticking to one hair colour, so I'm happy when my fickle ways are facilitated. New brand Epos certainly does have a naturals pack, so hooray for that.

Lots of new and new-ish things...
If you haven't been to this round of Genre (the Fae round), better hurry because it closes on the 12th before a new round opens on the 15th. I'm wearing the Ella dress from Luminary, and the Butterflies cage from Sweet Lies.
Pure Poison have also just released some awesome flat sandals for Slink flat feet. They're materials-enabled and you get three colours in the pack. Close-up further down!
The Living Light horns are new from The.Plastik (the mainstore has moved to Growl, btw). Each pack contains lots of options for the horns - you can wear just the top part, or the curled part, lights on or off, and with or without candles, endcaps and ribbons. You can also buy texture-change huds for the horns separately, which allow you to customize the candles and the ribbons.
The wings are part of Pucca Fire Caster's War Kitten outfit - discounted now at We Love Role-Play , as is the hair from Milk.

Her fragrance and her radiance
February's almost over, which means it's almost time for this round of We <3 Role-Play
to end, before another new round starts on 4 March.
Fantasy Gacha Carnival will be finishing up on the 28th February also, so now's your chance to hit those machines up in search of those elusive rares!
In these pics, the kaftan and moon necklace are both to be found at W<3RP (from Apsara and Bliensen + MaiTai respectively) while the choker I'm wearing is actually a circlet from Black Pearls, the gacha ultra-rare at FGC.

River's daughter
Quick post - some more items from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival which runs till the end of the month. Crown and trident are from the May's Soul Naga Princess gacha, while the gown and armbands are from Decdadent Courtesan's Longest Night gacha. I'm also wearing some of Enfant Terrible's offerings which you can find at the current We <3 Role-Play.
Full credits after the jump.

Title goes here
If the last post was quick, this one is supersonic.
Showcasing a couple more objects from Fantasy Gacha Carnival - elven-themed jewelry and belt from Sax Shepherd Designs, plus armbands from Luminary's Byzantine sets.
The bracelet is from tea.s at The Fantasy Collective, and the gown is part of a outift from Maitreya at Collabor88. If you haven't been to this round yet, hurry before it changes over. - you definitely won't want to miss it!

The blackened crown
Only two days to go until Fantasy Gacha Carnival opens - and I haven't even featured everything I'd like to. There really are so many amazing things this round.
The mini-cape is the rare from one of Junbug's gachas, and differs from the commons by having a fur trim. There's a wide range of satin colours among the commons, and three fur textures. Gown is from Peqe, and the leggings from Yasum.
The rings and staff are from On a Lark, and the hand jewels are part of the Aaliyah sets from Luas. Belt and armbands are from Luminary, and finally the crown is from ieQED.
All poses are by Infiniti, and you can get them at Enchantment, which also opens on 1 February. 'The better to see you with' set is made of poses featuring hands close to the face - perfect for showing off jewelry or artful nails!
The static poses of 'Running scared' are very dynamic - I love poses which suggest a sense of movement, and these certainly do that. I've found they can have very interesting effects with mesh gowns (another post to follow!) so try them out, and see what you think...

I'd let you win my heart again
Luminary recently sent out the teasers for their offerings at the upcoming Fantasy Gacha Carnival event, which opens on 1 February.
This round is themed 'Winter Wonderland', and Augurer explained that she was inspired by Shakespeare's 'The Winter's Tale', the story of an insanely jealous king who believes his queen to be unfaithful, and so condemns her and their infant daughter. (At the end of the play, both mother and daughter and restored to their rightful positions.) There is a theory that this play was inspired King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, while the princess represents Elizabeth I, Shakespeare's great patroness.
The initial necklace is the common from the gacha and is inspired by famous portrait of Anne Boleyn. You'll probably need to get a few friends together for a swapping party to make sure you get your letter! The crown is the rare item, and there are three different colours if you want to chase them all down.

The djinn
Augurer, formerly of The Library, has started up the .Luminary. line, and sent the inventive Cwen outfit out to bloggers. It was created in response to a customer request, and to me it has a flavour of the Middle East - almost like a shalwar kameez.
The outfit consists of the main one-piece, plus separate shoulder piece, and of course alpha.
The overskirt is transparent mesh which doesn't work so well for me - I suspect it might be another mac problem (if anyone on a PC wants to chime in, please do!). So, in the second photo, I used a heavy hand with the blur tool in photoshop. As the outfit is mod (yay!), it's possible to make the skirt opaque if desired.
I did mess around with my shape a bit to achieve optimal fit for this outfit, but I don't mind doing that. If you'd rather not, make sure you try the demo and are happy with it.
