It's a great day to visit Shack... The new Autumn-Winter collection is unveiled, sand selected items from the new season range are available from the special vendors near the landing point for 20% off.

There are scheduled fashion shows (wait till you see the new Isis Moon silk - in both kajira and kajirus versions), and Shack designer Firefox is really spoiling everyone with male and female gift sets.

Bargain silks at the 25L Fall Fete

I don't know about you, but for me Tuesdays are one of the most exciting days of the week :P

That's when the 25L Tuesday list comes out, and there's lots of bargain-tastic silks and other goodies to be had.

Well, this week, you're really spoiled because the organisers have created the 25L Fall Fete - a sim containing 44 merchants who participate in the 25L list.

The merchants all have tent stalls at the sim with some special 25L offers on display. Not everything available is 25L, so check before you buy if you need to stick to a budget!

Port Haifa have just announced a new free set of silks which you can grab near their landing point.

The silks have clothing layer top and bottom, and come with a choice of long or short skirts. Plus, the folder includes 9 colours.

30L Saturday at Rustic Edge

It's a special 30L Saturday this weekend - it runs for the whole weekend, so plenty of time to grab a bargain.

Rustic Edge have really gone to town and put out some luscious silks, and more.

Rag Dollz - Desert Nights outfit

Rag Dollz is a fun place to shop. It's packed to the rafters with steampunk, pirate, Victorian, and medieval goodies, plus there are some alluring outfits for a dancing girl's wardrobe.

The Desert Nights bellydance outfit in blue was on offer today for 89L (usually 199L), so naturally I couldn't resist.

Best. Gift. Ever.

Ok, this post might be showing off a bit, but I really lucked out when FallnAngel Creations decided to name a dress after me.

(This was not in recognition of any special talent, unless it was a tribute to my shopping abilities! Rather, they always name new creations after a group member.)

Apart from the excitement of 'immortalisation' in dress form, I was gifted the fatpack (or 'angel pack' as they're known at Falln) of the dress.

But even one colourway of this dress gives you so many options to play with.

Red Hot Ginger - Posey plum silks

A little over a month ago, I found myself at the Red Hot Ginger store, just as Ginger (aka Phedre Moriarty) was rebuilding.

Then, there weren't a lot of designs on display (definitely more out now, be sure to have a look) but a few things still spoke to me, including these Posey silks.

Una - recent release Altea silks

Just a very quick look at a recent release from Una, as I'm under pressure for time tonight!

These are the Altea silks, inspired by the new movie of Conan the Barbarian (if I remember rightly).

Siryelle's Dreams - Silky Laetitia red outfit

Siryelle Yalin may be best known for her amazing furniture range, Tempura Decors, but her fashion line Siryelle's Dreams is going from strength to strength.

Although she's not strictly speaking a silks designer, she has made some outfits that dancing girls would feel perfectly at home in.

One of these is the glamorous Silky Laetitia outfit.

Yet another Soedara post.... There's just been a new release in the Indah line, giving you even more options to play with your outfits.

This time, it's a skirt option, designed for *cough* easy access.

Soedara - Indah silks 2 pink

More Soedara! I'll admit it - I'm a total fangirl.

The Indah silks come in a range of colours - the latest addition is a desperately desirable black - but the pink stands out as a choice for days when you're feeling a little bit sweeter, and you're not afraid to show your softer side.

The silks move beautifully (I love how the designer makes them quite long) and are accented with gold chains and delicate pearls. I feel like Venus emerging from the ocean here!

Yay! I love sales!

I don't know much about Heartstones Silks, but I came upon their main store in GMI Roazhon recently.

Usually, I don't wear a lot of white but the Moonstone silks caught my eye.

Warning: they're a tad skimpy!

Delicious - Samsara silks

Remember I posted about the Gorean Room? Well, I ran down there myself and grabbed some nice things at great prices.

Delicious, another silks range I return to again and again, have released a special edition of their yummy Samsara silks, this time in a beautiful cyan colour.

The name 'Samsara' suggests sophistication and elegance, influences from the Far East, a hint of sari styling perhaps. It's a look for the girl possessed of serenity and wisdom as well as passion.

And it's only 70L!

Asia Jaerls at Enslaved is one of my favourite silks designers. Her designs usually feature sumptuous textures and beautifully-worked ornamentation.

Gone but not forgotten: Spellbound

It seems a lot of silks designers have been shutting up shop lately. It's always sad to an SL business close - unless, of course, the creator has moved on to bigger and better things, or simply changed direction.

The only bright side to the closure of a well-loved store is the possibility of a closing sale, allowing you to stock up treasures to pull out of your closet for months to come.

It was in one such nostalgic mood that I tried on this beautiful camisk from Kendall Dagger's Spellbound.

Second Moon- Mirror Cage mix'n'match

I had the great pleasure of speaking to MoonRiver Darcy at the 1,001 Nights exhibition... Many of you will know MoonRiver as the designer of the truly covetable Second Moon range.

If you know Second Moon silks, you'll know that Ms Darcy often creates a whole range of outfits featuring the same design - for instance the beautiful Crimson Moon series.

When I expressed an interest in 'megapacks' of these ranges, she pointed me in the direction of the Mirror Cage set, which does come in a 'mix'n'match' pack. Naturally, I couldn't resist...

Photo exhibition - Morgana Nagorski's 1001 Nights

If you 're interested in silks, orientalist art, interiors or Second Life photography, this new exhibition is a rare treat.

Morgana's exhibition focuses on life in the harems of the Ottoman empire.

Or in the words of the artist, "my new exhibition ~ 1001 Nights is a glimpse into the seductive, sensual, sumptuous world of the seraglio, as depicted in the Orientalist paintings which inspired this series".

The White Armory - Outer Limits gown

Wow. I saw this brand new release at The White Armory and HAD to have it.

It's stunning, it's amazing... and I'm going to need a thesaurus to find enough superlatives for Bee's creations!

Something a little bit different today; I'd love to call this a wuxia outfit, but as the creator doesn't seem to, then perhaps I shouldn't either!

I found this colourful outfit in the 60L weekend list. The store is new to me, but I have a feeling I'll be back...

Black mood at Shack II - Delight silks

The stunning 'Delight' silks are another recent Shack release, currently on the group discount vendor.

I'm not sure if they actually *have* a PG version... so let's start with some careful cropping.

 As you can see, they're beautifully detailed.

At long last, it's Friday!

Of course, this now means it's group discount day at Shack... as if you needed another reason to go shopping.

Maybe it's my mood, but walked away with two sets of black silks...

Soedara - brand new Dancer of Glorious Ar silks

Marbella seems to be on a roll! There's a bunch of new stuff over at Soedara, but what caught my eye were these lovely Dancer of Glorious Ar silks.

There are two colour themes in the range, one is the 'fairy' theme, featuring graduated colours and glows, while the other consists of 'traditional' coloured silks.

The 'Fairy Dream' blue silks are dazzling:

Aargh! I can't have been getting new notices from Shack, because this new arrival came upon me as a complete surprise.

The Shack - Wild Orchid silks

Let's give it up for Firefox Fonda and The Shack.

Not content with 'just' designing and producing some of the finest silks and gowns in SL, they also feel the feed the need to give tons of it away on the infamous Shack lucky boards.

Countless hours have been spent there, with a gaggle of girls slapping those boards rightly silly.

Here's an outfit I recently *bought* at Shack (they sell things too!) - the Wild Orchid silks in lagoon.

As usual with Shack, there's lots of different ways to wear these silks and there's 8 pieces included in total. Isn't it bee-yoo-tiful?

Lucky chair at Soedara

Soedara have just put out a lucky chair, so if you don't know their fab stuff, maybe you'll get a chance to try it for free!

I popped over twice this morning (once to check out the chair, then to grab the SLURL for you) and won the Indah top in pink and Oriental marble earrings in green. (Don't you just love wildcard rounds?)
