I grabbed the silks in violet... they come with both full and 'regular' skirt options.

Beautiful Sin - Halloween 50% off sale and lucky dip

Eek! Get down to Beautiful Sin quick - there's a 50% off sale on, and everything seems to be half price.

There's a Halloween lucky dip, too, stuffed with all sorts of prizes, and even some of the booby prizes sound like they could be fun - like the rideable bee.

And, there's now five lucky boards instead of two. Yay!

Soedara - Goddess silks and Wrapped in net

Wow, Marbella at Soedara is creating far too many gorgeous things for me to keep up!

So, in a futile attempt to pretend I'm on top of things, here's a quick look at the new Goddess Unum and Goddess Duae silks, as well as the Wrapped in Net camisk-silk set.

The designs also inspired to try out some colours I don't usually wear, such as peach and yellow.

In fact, that might be the only downside to shopping at Soedara - trying not to buy the outfits in every colour! (Apparently, that's the sign of a true shopaholic...)

Well, when I was at Floor Candy the other day, I picked up some extras...

PixelDolls - Cheongsam (qipao) dresses

Wow, how difficult could this be? Set up a white background, change clothes
, ctrl ` a few times... and ta-dah, post done.

Unfortunately, Second Life didn't want to co-operate, and refused to rez my textures, leaving me all blurry. Multiple rebakes, tweaks to the graphics preferences and relogs didn't help.

(And of course, all those relogs didn't help with trying to keep consistent settings for the pics.)

After some googling, it turns out it might have a Phoenix Viewer setting - more info here if you're having a similar problem, such as vendors in shops staying grey when you're mad keen to shop. Since making hte change, all seems to be going smoothly

Anyway... the blog must go on.

When I was tping around to follow up on yesterday's sale silks post, I came across these beautiful cheongsam or qipao dresses. I love cheongsams... so elegant and romantic!

Blackout sale (and Halloween freebie) at Silks of the Siren

It seems like it's been a while since there's been much activity over at Silks of the Siren, but, now you can prepare to be spoiled with a Halloween freebie and the 'blackout sale'.

All black silks (yes, even those on the discounted floor) are half price, meaning you can buy one of Draelle Chandler's sultry creations from as little as 50L.

Perfect if you want to show your dark side this Halloween!

The Shack - Melene camisk

Concluding the mini-series of the Shack autumn collection, we come to the Melene camisk.

It's a deliciously floaty confection, and can be modestly to pass for contemporary casual wear too. It could make a lovely fairy outfit, and there's a hint of 'ballerina at rehearsals' about it too.

35L Sunday at Arachne Silks III: Naked as you wanna be!

Eeek! There's no way I'm modelling this outfit for you.

And in fact, I spent quite a bit of time wondering whether or not to put some 'censored' strips over the vendor image.  That's how naughty this outfit is.

The strips were a no-go (if I put them in, you wouldn't be able to see the silks)... so I tried some judicious blurring instead. Hopefully it doesn't look just plain weird.

Well, Firefox has outdone herself with the creation of these lovely ethereal silks, bound to be a huge hit. Any fae or princess kajira would be pleased to have them in her wardrobe.

Roawenwood - Simplicity Silks in Blue

These silks do exactly what they say on the tin - they're simplicity personified.

And they're on offer at the 25L Tuesdays Fall Fete sim for 50L - and the proceeds go to benefit Kiva, a charity offering micro-loans in developing countries.
