This week's colour is called "New Car" so obviously it's just begging to be illustrated with a fairytale gown.  Anyway :) this challenge didn't take long at all. I opened up my CTS wardrobe page (find out more on the marketplace) and simply searched for items tagged with 'blue', and one of the options it brought me back was this beautiful fairytale gown from Deviance.

What's even sweeter is that with a little persistence you can have this outfit for free, as it's one of the prizes in the apple bob in Deviance's basement (there's a lucky chair there too with silks and fairy outfits, changes every five minutes).

Just a quick look (sorry for the photo errors!) built around an outfit that's currently on offer for 50L at The Retreat . It's called 'Hymn of the Nature', comes from Kre-ations, and there are four colours available. (As well as the purple in these photos, there's teal, green, and yellow.)    

10L gowns from Kouse's Sanctum? Yes please!

I'm very happy to see that medieval-fantasy (and more) store, Kouse's Sanctum, has a presence at The Wash's annual 10L cart sale... who can say no to a fabulous bargain, especially when it's one of Kouse Singh's beautiful gowns?

So far, I've been quite restrained and only bought five out of the 12 gowns she's put out (set me back a whopping 50L, that did). I've just photo'd two of them here, but I did grab a couple of snaps of the vendors so you could have a sneak preview before you, presumably, rush off to buy a few yourself!

Soedara have just released a new mesh chalwar, featuring rich textures, opulent jewels, make-ups, and a matching range of Moroccan slippers to buy separately.

As a promotion, the outfit in brown is half-price on the marketplace at the moment, will be for this weekend at least.

I threw the proverbial kitchen sink at this one with lots of layering; who would have thought 'grey' would be tricky to match?

Never mind, I'm sure that somewhere among the outfit's very many shades of grey (resisting the obvious pun) there is the perfect match for Outer Space.

It's already week 8 of Softpaw's challenge; aaargh, how did that happen?!

Free silks - group gift at Creative Chaos

Just a quick post tonight, to let you know that Creative Chaos have come up trumps again with another great group gift (group is free to join). This outfit is called Narella - Valentine (yes, it's been out for a couple of weeks, but it's still there for you to grab!

Lots of ways to wear it too - it comes with long or short silks, and an open or closed top, plus arm and leg bands.

The Plastik - Naamah body jewelry

The Plastik recently released the 'Naamah Body Jewelry' outfit (basically, it's like an ultra-customizable set of mesh silks) and I finally got round to wearing and photographing it today. I decided to check out the Dragon Lolth sim, where I was terrorised by one of the fearsome beasts. Luckily, it decided I wasn't worth the bother and went back to wreaking havoc elsewhere.

Anyway, 'tis quite a skimpy outfit. You have been warned. Oh and... here be dragons.

Another Valentine's gift (well two)...

I don't have time to crack this outfit open & model it for you (bet you're really upset about that /sark) but wanted to let you know it's available for Delicious group members to grab now. (Group is free to join.)

Think pink! Okay, this colour wasn't exactly a heavyweight challenge. In fact I was able to kill two birds with one stone by showing you this Valentine's gift free corset from Soedara, which just happens to be in romantic pink.

Free stuff! Mini-mania prizes at Vigo

If you've got some time to kill, you could do worse than check out the mini-mania boards at Vigo, where there are some great black-themed outfits to be won. (I like to think of all that black as anti-Valentines.)

You might need to be persistent though; I found the prize I really wanted elusive. Luckily, my free alt scored it! On the boards are a medieval gown; slave outfit/lingerie set; and men's assassin or rogue outfit.

Sneak preview of Soedara at Genre!

A little bird tells me the next round of the Genre event will be focusing on Gorean designers, which will probably interest many readers of this blog. It'll kick off on 15 February, so if you're into fantasy fashion and haven't spent all your lindens on virtual champagne, chocolates or furry pink handcuffs for your Valentine, check it out.

Happy Chinese New Year!

As it happens, today marks the celebration of the Chinese New Year, so the ideal opportunity to wear a couple of the new mesh cheongsams from The White Armory. As it features a dragon motif, it's called 'Year of the Dragon'

I've also managed to find a pair of killer heels hidden deep within my inventory, and they're actually free in world at the moment. Usually, I hate shoes. All that hud colour matching? I'm so useless at that! (I haven't gotten round to checking out Gos yet, but their new system sounds like a godsend to those of us who just aren't much good at editing!)

I usually try to avoid posting two outfits from the same maker in a row, but Ms Marbella over at Soedara is obviously feeling inspired lately with some stunning outfits landing in store. (I've also been suffering from extreme busyness RL!)

Light of Galadriel is another elven-themed silk, with many, many different ways to combine the different elements of the outfit.

New from Soedara: Nudzahui

Nudzahui is Soedara's latest release, and it's named for an indigenous American people. The outfit includes many different pieces, so lots of scope for mixing and matching. Naturally it lends itself to any kind of tribal roleplay, and maybe even adventurous wood elves. In Gor, it's perfect for panthers, and perhaps slaves who like or have cause to wear leather and hides.
