Marble halls

There are so many events starting in the next few days... I hope you have a lot of Lindens saved up.

Enchantment (which is no longer at a single location) opens on 1 May. This round is inspired by Sleeping Beauty, and this beautiful gown comes from Apsara (sister brand to Bilo and Jalwa).

The fairytale castle in the background is by Kalopsia - please note, it's a decorative item rather than a build, so it's not suitable for setting up home. It's land impact out of the box is 38, but of course making it bigger (it's mod) will increase that. It's perfect for adding a touch of magic to your sim!

Don't forget, any time you buy an Enchantment item, you'll get an empty stamp card. Fill it by visiting each of the participating stores to get your stamp, then tp to the secret location to choose your exclusive prize. More details on the process in this post.

The upcoming round of Fantasy Gacha carnival opens on 4 May. The pendant comes is from Things, and floral wreath is from Le Forme. Both are common prizes (yay!).

Also opening on 4 May is the new round of We Love Role-Play. Round 11 should be open until 31 April, so it's your opportunity to get this special edition of The Skinnery's Quiana at a discounted price. There are four additional fantasy tones available, so don't miss this chance.

I'm still the captain of this ship

Surprisingly, pirates aren't always the most trustworthy crew. Should you find yourself mutineered and marooned, best have a fallback option.

If you can't manage to lash sea turtles together with human hair from your back, Mien's raft pose prop should prove invaluable.

Peqe's coat will keep you warm as the sun drops below the horizon, and every captain must have her hat (this one's from May's Soul). Fight off invaders or harpoon fish with EZ Weaponry's cutlass, while you stomp aboard the deck with boots from Hopscotch.

The hair (super-long, and with a headscarf) comes from Olive, and the pants and gold coloured belt are part of the Bonny outfit from Bite & Claw. Necklaces and top (tinted) are from The.Plastik.

"Is there anybody there?"

A new round of Enchantment opens on 1 May with the theme of Sleeping Beauty. Augurer of Luminary has created the Beatrice outfit especially for it. Inspired by sleep, the outfit represents a nightgown and robe. There's nothing to stop you wearing it during the daytime however.

The format of Enchantment is very different this time around; the releases are not to be found at an event location, but in the designers' mainstores. (Be honest - with all the events nowadays, when was the last time you went shopping in SL stores?)

To encourage you to make the trip around all the stores, there's a very special incentive in place - exclusive prizes, which will never be available again. You just need to get your card stamped; and everything is explained after the jump.

Spring fairy

Caverna Obscura have produced two cute Fiola fairy outfits for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The mesh dress is an ultra-rare, the flower wreath is rare, and the wings are a common prize. There's one rigged mesh size only, and a fitted mesh version, so try the demo or be prepared to tweak your avie if needed. There's also shoes, sandals (note: for Gaeline feet only), bracelets and pretty flower fairychairs all stuffed into the machine.

In my hand, I'm carrying a sprig of Lily of the Valley from Naminoke's Suzuran gacha, which includes hair accessories, mouthies, and huggable dolls. Hair is from Emo-Tions - this is a common colour, and the rare prize is a bead and feather headband.

Not at FGC: sandals from Pure Poison, skin from The.Plastik, and flower face tattoo from The Skinnery, at Cosmetics Fair until the end of April.

Just five days to go!

In case you haven't heard, Fantasy Faire runs from May1-11 this year.

It's the sixth year of the event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society.

As always, there'll be amazing shopping, awe-inspiring builds and sims, concerts, auctions, a hunt, and everything else that goes to making FF one of the events of the year.

Find out more at the official Fantasy Faire website.

More from Fantasy Gacha Carnival

I love this hair, from Spellbound - the heavy but not-blunt bags are gorgeous, as is the volume created by the undulating waves.  I actually didn't know anything from this store before, but I will definitely check the store out. If you're lucky enough to get the rare prize, you get the FATPACK. Otherwise, you will have to keep playing to get the colour you want - or try a new colour!

The tail is from Kio, and rares come with a colour hud allowing to change all the elements of the hud. Commons don't have the shell, pearl etc decoration, and their hud lets you change the colour of the ribbons. The epic prize is a set of mermaid ears with hud.

The silver circlet is a rare from one of Keystone's gachas, the shape is from Belissima, and skirt and top are from Distorted Dreams.

The skin, by the way, is from Glam Affair, and is part of today's Fifty Linden Friday round. Just one last thing - among the other items I'm wearing are the Zaia hand jewels from Earthstones. These are designed to be worn with Slink's Elegant1 hands, but they fit reasonably well on the Elegant hands also. The bracelets are unrigged, so you can tweak them to improve it.

Front view and close-up after the jump!

Badass

I love this new pose set from Rack Poses - She's a BadAss Bitch!, coming soon to the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. Some of the poses are quite dynamic, like the above jumping pose, and I do appreciate a 'dynamic' pose!  Others are more like traditional stands, check out another two after the jump. Each poses also includes bow, arrow, and/or quiver props. There are six common single poses, and the seventh is a rare double pose.

Also from the upcoming May round of FGC are skin from Bite & Claw, tattoo from Demonic,  boots from Yasum (available in male and female versions), and the Bellona armour from Emo-Tions, which includes arm, hand and chest-pieces.

The dress (or tunic, if you prefer) I'm wearing is one of the new Courtesan Reloaded mesh dresses from The.Plastik.  It's an update of the original clothing-layer and comes in a variety of colourful, space-age and subtle textures. I'm wearing leather in the pictures, check out the full range of on The.Plastik's blog entry or in the mainstore on Growl.

Lastly, the hair is from Tableau Vivant, and you'll find it in the current Pirate edition of  The Fantasy Collective.

Equinox

Arabic Equinox is a recent mesh release from Soedara. There are so many different ways to wear it, as the hud lets you select between two different textures for each (and a basic black version).  You can also change the opacity of various parts of the outfit, or make them entirely transparent.

With everything opaque, the outfit is almost chalwar-esque, as looks more like pants than silks. Or, you can turn everything off, so you're left with a very skimpy outfit consisting of only the ropes parts. There's even a separate hud for changing the rope color. Helpfully, there's a texture included showing you all the different combinations for the outfit.

In addition, you get the usual box full of Soedara goodies. There's a full set of jewelry, including circlet, ear cuffs, veils, armbands, bracelets, bellyjewel, anklets, and some variations of the slippers.

There's also a tattoo included, BUT, I'm not wearing it in these pictures. Instead I'm wearing a henna tattoo which is  another prize from Kun's upcoming Fantasy Gacha Carnival offerings. I've tinted it slightly in this picture - great to be able to do that.

The mage

Some more previews from the upcoming Fantasy Gacha Carnival (opening on 1 May).  Love this asymmetric cloak from {aii} - it goes perfectly with this brand new braid hairstyle from Truth also!

The gown is from Circe, and the gacha prizes also include separate mesh sleeves for this gown (or any other sleeveless dresses lurking in your inventory).

The skin is from Bite & Claw. Noeme comes in a range of different tones, with and without scales,  but I've stayed human here with the natural tone. I'm wearing a war paint tattoo from <Kun> on top.

The necklace is the ultra rare Celtic flask from Velvet Whip, while the bracelet is the rare armwrap from Frogstar.  The beaded belt comes from Tiar and is the ultra rare texture change version of the price (the gacha also contains beaded circlets).

The pirate queen

Another couple of items from  The Fantasy Collective: Pirates!

This gown from Junbug is called Temptress of Tortuga and with its narrow waist and full hips, has a definite look of 18th century pannier skirts about it. It's not so exaggerated that you need to go through a door sideways though.  My favourite feature of the gown is the lush vibrance of the skirt though; it's really fabulous. I think it would make a perfect gown for gothic or vamp roleplay.

The hat is from Cellar Door, and it's just part of the High Seas Runt outfit which also includes a corset and mask. It comes in noir and aqua colours.  The eyepatch is from Sweet Poison, and you can choose either the leather or fur variation.

Fantasy Gacha Carnival returns 1 May!

The Fantasy Gacha Carnival returns for another round of maddening gacha action on the first of May, and as always, runs for the entire month.

Here's a preview of one of the items that will surely drive you to distraction - the Nia Triple Moon Goddess jewelry set from Sax Shepherd Designs.

The set includes a tiara, earrings, bracelets, necklace, a belt, and anklets (not shown in these pictures). The ultra-desirable rare prize is a features a texture change hud which works with all the common items.

The pirate lass

A new round of The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow, and the theme is Pirates, so think Black Sails, Pirates of the Caribbean, Blackbeard, Anne Bonny and Grace O'Malley! Arrrghhh me hearties!

The very eerie rocks I'm standing on - including wrecked ship and skeleton floating in the waters below - are from Kalopsia. The Lost Pirate Island at original size is only 25 LI. I enlarged the scene though, naturally pushing the LI upwards.

The main outfit I'm wearing is The White Armory's Cabin Girl mesh bloomers set, which includes mesh boots, lace choker, and pirate hat. However, for these pics, I swapped it out for MeshedUp's pirate bandana and hat. The bandana includes two versions, one for wearing with the hat, and one for wearing on its own. You will need a nice sleek hair for a neat fit.  (A shrug from Indyra and belt from The.Plastik complete the look.)

Perched on my shoulder is the Mowie pet from May's Soul / Tentacio. This time he/she is decked out like a fearsome pirate, complete with hat, eye patch, and a hook for a paw. Arrrrr!

Future nymph

One of Junbug's latest releases is available at The Seraphim Social. It's a 'space dress' named for Trillian from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The gown has materials turned up to the max - part of the skirt is super shiny, perfect for a futuristic look. It's also available in a black and gold colourway.

The tiara -  currently at We Love Role-Play - is one of the Dominion of the Deep tiaras from Paper Moon. There are another two aquatically-inspired coronets available and they're all 25% off for the duration of the event. The skin - a special tone of Quiana from The Skinnery - is half price at the same event.

Gretchen

Quick look at the April outfit from Junbug, now discounted at  We Love Role-Play. Tops and skirts are sold separately, so you can pick exactly the colour combination(s) you want.

The plunging lace top is perfect for wenches - but of course you can cover up with a clothing layer underneath if you need something more modest.

Flourish (Fifty Linden Friday offers)

Just a quick post to tell you to get down to The.Plastik to take advantage of one of their amazing outfit deals. There's another megapack - this time in the rich brown 'Flourish' design - crammed full of SO MUCH STUFF you have to manually open two boxes.

More from We Love Role-Play

Another We Love Role-Play post! In these pictures, I'm wearing lots from We<3RP, such as the Gertrude gown in pink from Luminary. I love the folds and gathers on the sleeve, and the style looks authentically medieval (to my uneducated eye at least).

I'm wearing TheSkinnery's special fairy tone of the Quiana skin again (50% off! do not miss!). This time out, I'm wearing the skin with its own eyebrows. (Last time, I added tattoo layers to the no-brow skin.) It would be great if more designers offered no-brow skins as standard, it seems to be becoming more popular. For me, it's not a make-or-break in purchase decision, but it's great to have that flexibility. (A range of popular appliers are included too, another big positive.)

I also wish all hair designers made 'variety' or 'naturals' packs! I'm not capable of sticking to one hair colour, so I'm happy when my fickle ways are facilitated. New brand Epos certainly does have a naturals pack, so hooray for that.

Silver apples of the moon

More from We Love Role-Play. This time, this pics feature a stunning gown called Aluaya from The.Plastik. The outfit includes four separate mesh components; the basic gown, the sleeves, the corset, and a corset-and-overskirt combination.  Lots to play with an mix in with your existing wardrobe.

Also at W<3RP - the staff from May's Soul, new hair from Calico, filigree mask and ear cuff from Kahli Designs, and eyes from Musa.

That never more true love can sever

We Love Role-Play is now open! Well, strictly speaking, it's been open since some time yesterday, but ssshhh.

I'm wearing several items from the Round 11 collection in these pictures. First of these is the Quiana fantasy skin from The Skinnery. Uma has reworked the skin in five beautiful fantasy tones to suit a variety of characters, including Mermaid, Witch, Drow and Demon. I'm wearing the Fairy tone, which is the most 'human'.

The skin includes a dark brow and no-brow option. To match my fiery red hair - I feel like Tori Amos -  I'm wearing the no-brow skin with a red brow tattoo which had been lurking in the depths of my inventory. There are three cleavage versions too, you can see the medium option here. Also included are appliers for Slink hands and feet, PhatAzz, and Tangos/Mirage.

The horns and headwrap are part of Lassitude & Ennui's Spring horns and jewelry set. (The set also includes a matching necklace, not shown. I love the delicate little leaves of the design, and the bold, splashy colours of this Blurple set - but there are plenty more natural and soft tones if you want something a little more subtle. Added bonus: the leaves and cords on the horns, wrap, and necklace are all texture change.

The 'gown' is the Hybrid outfit from Peqe, and creator Inex Hax calls it a vest/top/dress combination. The outfit includes a clothing layer bodysuit to wear underneath, but this outfit screams to be mixed'n'matched so I wore it with a mesh corset underneath instead.

30L Anniversary Fair (featuring May's Soul)

The 30L Anniversary Fair opened yesterday (I couldn't get in then!), celebrating 4 years of 30L events. It runs until Sunday, so don't leave it too late before visiting.

You'll find some amazing 30L bargains, like this armour bodice from May's Soul, which comes in three different metallic colours, and three different finishes (plain, embellished, and bloody).

There are also 30L gachas, and my nosering / facechain is a special rare prize, again from May's Soul.

Even if you're completely broke and haven't a single Linden dollar to your display name, you should still go and have a look around - there's a 0L hunt with prizes from all the stall holders. Look for the cord necklaces with dangling '4' pendant hidden in all sorts of sneaky places.

Soedara at We Love Role-Play

Round 11 of  We <3 RP opens on Friday. Soedara have put out two new outfits, each at 30% off. The Scurvy Wench is a pirate-inspired ensemble, featuring a corseted dress, shrug, armwarmers and jewelry. Meanwhile, Berhawa-nafsu is a skimpy mesh camisk.

Both outfits have lots of options for you to play with; some are hud controlled, and some are additional options included in the pack. For instance, with scurvy wench, the hud lets you change the colours of the corset and the flowers. There are also two colours of the shrug, and an alternative dress has different colours in the skirt. The Berhawa-nafsu huds let you change the opacity of the camisk, the colour of the fabric, or the colours of the beads.

The boots I'm wearing alongside Scurvy Wench are from Kahli Designs, and are part of the Elven Courtier outfit. The sandals I'm wearing with the camisk are add-ons for Slink flat feet from Maxi Gossamer, at this month's Fameshed.
