The Shield Maiden

The Fantasy Collective is now open!

This round is all about Vikings, so you'll find Northern-inspired gowns and tunics, horned helmets, and fierce accessories and furniture.

In the pictures I'm wearing hair from Tableau Vivant, shield and sandals from Noodles, outfit from Distorted Dreams, circlet from Keystone, and horns from OrsiniRed. The poses - which come with sword props - are from Mien.

Natsumi

Natsumi Girl is a new release from  Soedara, it's an Asian-styled 'dress' so perfect for Pani roleplay sims. The outfit includes five sizes of mesh, bracelets, and a hair flower. It's also a bargainous 150L.

I haven't tried layering it yet, I suspect it might work well as a tunic over trousers, but it looks like it might be a little too fitted for skirts and gowns.

Also, if you're not as out of the loop as I am, you probably already know that Aisling (or a i s l i n g) are celebrating their first anniversary. They've very generously put out a special collection of gifts, which includes this circlet and necklace set for women. (There's also a necklace for men, and a variety of decor items.)

This slurl should take you right there - Aisling anniversary gift - but if you do land at the main entrance, look for the special glowing teleportal! I'm not sure how long gifts will be out for, but at least one is a limited edition and the countdown clock reads 19 days.

Earrings (by Distorted Dreams) and Face jewels (from The Forge) are both available at We Love Role-Play while my foot jewels (Pure Poison) and fan are from Fantasy Gacha Carnival
Both events run until the end of the month.

More from Fantasy Gacha Carnival

I love this hair, from Spellbound - the heavy but not-blunt bags are gorgeous, as is the volume created by the undulating waves.  I actually didn't know anything from this store before, but I will definitely check the store out. If you're lucky enough to get the rare prize, you get the FATPACK. Otherwise, you will have to keep playing to get the colour you want - or try a new colour!

The tail is from Kio, and rares come with a colour hud allowing to change all the elements of the hud. Commons don't have the shell, pearl etc decoration, and their hud lets you change the colour of the ribbons. The epic prize is a set of mermaid ears with hud.

The silver circlet is a rare from one of Keystone's gachas, the shape is from Belissima, and skirt and top are from Distorted Dreams.

The skin, by the way, is from Glam Affair, and is part of today's Fifty Linden Friday round. Just one last thing - among the other items I'm wearing are the Zaia hand jewels from Earthstones. These are designed to be worn with Slink's Elegant1 hands, but they fit reasonably well on the Elegant hands also. The bracelets are unrigged, so you can tweak them to improve it.

Front view and close-up after the jump!

More from We Love Role-Play

Another We Love Role-Play post! In these pictures, I'm wearing lots from We<3RP, such as the Gertrude gown in pink from Luminary. I love the folds and gathers on the sleeve, and the style looks authentically medieval (to my uneducated eye at least).

I'm wearing TheSkinnery's special fairy tone of the Quiana skin again (50% off! do not miss!). This time out, I'm wearing the skin with its own eyebrows. (Last time, I added tattoo layers to the no-brow skin.) It would be great if more designers offered no-brow skins as standard, it seems to be becoming more popular. For me, it's not a make-or-break in purchase decision, but it's great to have that flexibility. (A range of popular appliers are included too, another big positive.)

I also wish all hair designers made 'variety' or 'naturals' packs! I'm not capable of sticking to one hair colour, so I'm happy when my fickle ways are facilitated. New brand Epos certainly does have a naturals pack, so hooray for that.

Nimue

More from We Love Role-Play!  This amazing gown is Nimue from Evie's Closet, and it's an amazingly structured and detailed piece of mesh. You can find it in three colours, discounted, at the event, while there are even more colours available back at the mainstore. To my eye, it has a Victorian or Edwardian look; so I think it would work really well for steampunk settings.

This vintage-inspired hair is new from Calico and it includes a highly-customisable texture change rose accessory.  I love the waves and whorls at the back of the style, and how it's pulled back cleanly from the face. This makes it perfect for showing off earrings!

Speaking of which, these earrings come from Distorted Dreams and are a lovely, substantial piece of mesh. Personally, I do like my jewelry to be quite large - the better for everyone to see an appreciate it. Once again, the eyes are from Musa's gacha, in the special gacha chalet at the event.

To survive

Lots more goodies from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival which opens in two days time. Armlets, boots and collar are from MeshedUp, the crown is from Distorted Dreams, and the mask from Black Pearls.
The fur outfit is from gO, staff from Stitched Gods, and skirt/belt from Keystone.

If you're impatient, you can grab the ears now at The Fantasy Collective) and there's still time to get to the current round of Collabor88, where you can find this hair from Clawtooth.

The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow

The Fantasy Collective opens tomorrow, and sadly, this mini-round is the last round ever. The items are exclusive, and won't be available outside the event for 3 months.

I've got a bunch of stuff in this post to show you (and more to follow). First off, the skin is from Bite & Claw, and is the rare 'Bare' option from the Fleur gacha. The skins include matching mesh feet and a shape, and you can buy various appliers at the B&C mainstore if required.

The outfit is from On a Lark, and each pack (natural or jewel tones) comes with a hud giving you three fabric colour options, and four metal texture options. I find it fits really well - I didn't bother wearing the included alpha at all.

As for accessories, Keystone have come up with the beautiful 'Bondmaiden's Headpiece', which comes in gold, silver, or a combination of the two metals. (I've worn Silver and Gold x Silver in these pics.) The necklace is the Tory piece from Distorted Dreams, available in gold or silver. Note - you can click the stone in the centre to choose from nine different textures for it.
