I thought this colour would be really hard, and though this colour isn't a perfect match, I think I managed okay.

In truth, I had some White Armory gowns that might have fit the bill, but TWA seems to have been a bit of of a fallback option in this challenge (weeks 28, 25, 23...plus weeks 8 & 1!). So I decided to push myself and rummage through that wardrobe for something different.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

A quick post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or Solstice Celebration (ok maybe a couple of days late for that last one).

Today, Christmas Day, is a very special "gift round" of 25L Tuesday, with all the participating designers leaving out a special gift for you (some have sales too). Read more on the 25L Tuesday blog. 

I guess now is a good time to thank the wonderfully talented creators in Second Life for the beauty and creativity which they bring to our SLives all year round - and also for any Christmas gifts they might have given us :)

30L Saturday, 8 December

I'm poorly RL at the moment so it took me a little while to summon up the energy to take the pics (don't worry, you've still plenty of time to grab the offers).

Luckily it didn't impair my shopping abilities... interestingly, where I live, today is traditionally the big shopping day before Christmas. So while I might be stuck at home this weekend, at least I can indulge my one of my favourite hobbies in SL!

Anyway, lots of gorgeous things in this week's 30L round, including some cute mesh from On a Lark, Sweet Pea, and Sweet Poison; a new store to 30L in the shape of Velvet Whip; and this adorable Christmas camisk from Dream Things.

Fantasy Faire: Rya donation outfit from Dream Things

I've been spending a lot of time at Fantasy Faire this weekend - mindful that it only runs until April 29th (nooooo!) and trying to take in as much as possible of the glorious builds and, of course, the fabulous shopping!

Here's one of the outfits I picked up: Rya from Dream Things, a dress which converts into a camisk.

A Time for Light Treasure Hunt

This hunt is a little bit more expensive that the ones I usually feature, but for a very good reason - all the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society as it's part of the Relay for Life series.

So all the prizes are 10L rather than the usual freebie or dollarbies. 

The hunt is sponsored by the Goreans in the Relay for Life group

There are 25 Gorean stores participating in the hunt, although all prizes were out this morning. Check the official hunt blog for updates.

Hunting is definitely one of Second Life's most fun pastimes.. it's like shopping with extra mental stimulation! Plus, the prizes are usually free or 1L.

There so many hunts on these days, it's impossible to do them all (unless you're very dedicated and have a lot of free time).

So while I dip in and out of most hunts, the Beauty and The Beast hunt is definitely one I'll be following from start to finish.

So far, I'm about half-way and there are tons of great prizes! Standouts so far? For me, it's got to be the 'Beauty' gown from Pekas, the whole box of goodies from Shack, the panther accessories from Bina, and these purple silks from Tamiron Forge.

Plus, the skin in all these pics is the prize from Severed Heart. Isn't it gorgeous?!

Dream Things - New avatar gift pack (silks, camisk and gown)

Hmm, maybe I'm a bit slow on the uptake today, but I only noticed when I uploaded these pics that all the outfits are in different tones of purple - lavenders, lilacs, plums and grapes.

It gives the gift pack a little extra 'something' - it sits together like a mini-fashion collection.

Pia of Dream Things has got all bases covered with this gift too - there's a camisk, set of silks and a gown, so if you haven't quite figured out your RP station in life, at least you can experiment in style!

Darkly Delicious Hunt - Any colour so long as it's black!

It's Darkly Delicious Hunt time again and some wonderful merchants are participating. I've (very quickly) photographed some of the free outfits you can win below.

Other prizes include a skin from Whatz, gothic-y tiara from Inspired Designs, and chocolate fondue set for two from Roawenwood! Mmm!
