Free stuff, group gifts, and a dollarbie

I've been spending a lot of lindens lately (Arcade, Jewelry Expo, C88 etc etc...) so before I splashed out again, I thought I do some economising! Today's post features two looks which altogether cost a total of 1L.  A lot of the items are gifts from free-to-join groups, one is a dollarbie, and some are advent prizes.

The first look (very Merida!) features a dollarbie gown from Creative Chaos. The second look (after the jump) is a slave girl group gift from Delicious, there are a lot more ways to wear it, and the group is free to join, as always.

Hair for both, and the earrings from the second look, are prizes from the Emo-Tions group advent board. (It's just been switched form a current-day-only board to one which will give you all past gifts also. It can be a little laggy though, so you will probably need to wait a little while for delivery. (I'd suggest not slapping all the boards at once - maybe wait a bit in-between. And only slap each once or it will lag the system even more!)

Another cool thing about it - the gifts are either unisex or include female and male gifts.

Skins are group gifts from Al Vulo or YS&YS, and the poses are from the Advent gifts at Picture This. Again, you can also get the older gifts, and not just the current day's, and you don't even need to be a group member.

Seems like it's been a while since I did a non-event post, so here's a look at a recent release from Delicious (before I get back to events, lol).

Faridah is a recent release from Delicious and you have three ways to wear the outfit - as a camisk or tunic, as dancing silks, or as, um, casual silks?

The outfit is a mix of mesh (the tunic, the short silks) and flexi silks, prims, and clothing layers.

I really like that the belt is available separately - ie without attached silks - perfect for adding to other outfits!

Bit of a outfit mash-up for this one; the top is part of the Penelope outfit from Delicious, while the skirt is taken from the Luma silks set from The Shack.

I spent ages picking the outfit for this one, then for absolutely no reason at all was overwhelmed by the desire to add some antlers. The Jackalope set from Half-Deer are wonderfully whimsical.

The fabulously dreamy skin is from Alchemy (I'm a bit in love with it, I think) and poses are by Musa. You can find both at a discounted price for this round of  We <3 Role-Play - go check it out!

My free alt goes shopping

I know I haven't posted much free stuff lately (though you can always check my frees page if you're feeling strapped for cash) so I thought I'd send my alt on my mission and prep a very quick post.

She currently has 6L to her name (she had 8L, but I let her buy two recent dollarbie skins at Mother Goose) but came home with a sackful of stuff, so I should be able to put together another couple of posts.

The main part of this outfit is a group gift from Delicious - it's copy and mod, so you can tint it to any colour you like.

I'm a bit behind on my blogging (sorry)... possibly because I'm soon heading off on holiday in RL and have been trying to get my shiz together!

Anyway here is the latest in the crayon colour challenge series - Fuzzy Wuzzy, which I imagine is named for peaches, as salmon aren't very fuzzy wuzzy at all. They're more scaly.

Back to normal, and back on schedule after Fantasy Faire (although there is still some hunting to be done!) This week's colour challenge is another one where my careful matching in-world doesn't seem to have come out quite so exactly on the blog page. No idea why that should be.... Nevermind!

This week's outfit is from Jessenia Delicious, and the accessories are from Soedara. Anklet and bracelets are from an Earendil silks set, but the necklace is one of the separately sold Earendil necklaces. (You do get a necklace with the silks, but the ones sold separately have an additional texture change feature).

'Kay, before I get stuck into telling you about this recent release from Delicious, I just wanted to mention a really neat extra that comes with the new Aeva skins I mentioned last night. (I didn't spot it until now, DERP.) Pre-tinted mesh feet. Yup, no more messing with huds or anything like that; each tone of the four new Aeva skins includes matching mesh feet in six sizes, plus alphas.

Free silks... group gift from Delicious

Another group gift for you today, this time from Delicious, where there's a special extra Easter gift out. It's been named it in honour of Nasrin Sotoudeh, a human rights lawyer in Iran. (You can read more on the included notecard or on this wikipedia page.)

The silks are in a delicate creams and blues, and feature a mesh camisk or tunic top as well as traditional dancing silks.

It might not be out for too much longer, so don't delay. The group is free to join btw, and don't forget to check the week's special offer plus the lucky chairs and midnight mania in the main store.

As in yesterday's post, the poses are a gift from Diesel Works. The Natya set is still available as a free March gift, at the back of the store. Hopefully this slurl will point you in the right direction!

Free, cheap.... and a new skin from The.Plastik!

Today's post is frees and cheaps... including a very exciting preview of a new skin from The.Plastik!

For today's Lazy Sunday round, The.Plastik put out a previewer of what it seems will be the new skin line, Maelian. For the bargaintastic price of 75L, you can grab the skin (one tone only) which includes several tattoo layers, eyebrow shapes, and five pairs of eyes. Seems like more will be available at Skin Faire...in the meantime, don't miss the offer, which will probably be out for a few days and not just today. (There's a close up after the jump!)

Another Valentine's gift (well two)...

I don't have time to crack this outfit open & model it for you (bet you're really upset about that /sark) but wanted to let you know it's available for Delicious group members to grab now. (Group is free to join.)

Delicious have just released a couple of new outfits with a family theme, one of these is a maternity gown for free women, and the other, photographed here,  is a camisk for a child-minding kajira.

It's a really cute outfit which has already featured on a couple of blogs, so I'll keep it brief. Suffice to say you get two versions of the camisk, one PG for your babysitting tasks, the other a little more risque for whatever other duties you might need to fulfill!

To enhance your RP, the Lorraine camisk also comes with two wearable, animated props: a baby for you to rock, and a hairbrush to help you maintain your exquisite beauty. (Oh and there's a cheeky cherry mouthie too!)

But, whatever you do, don't drop the baby...

New from Delicious - Emma Wagon Girl

I love outfits which can be worn in different ways... and this new release from Delicious certainly delivers on that front.

Emma Wagon Girl is intended for a Free Woman of the wagon peoples... but can used for many other roles as well. It's certainly got a lot of options allowing you to wrap up snugly!

Skin and shape are from Delicious too - the very cute Bronte skin, which is designed to go with lighter hair colours.

25L Fall Fete preview: Luas

It's getting late for me... time to finish up this post, schedule it, and turn in! (If anyone ever tells you bloggers are lazy, they are so lying.)

Some fun stuff from Luas for the Fall Fete. Some of the outfits feature different options for wearing, depending on your roleplay needs. I love the adorable 'Roman Girl' outfit, which is perfect for casual mainstream wear as well as roleplay. Incidentally, when changing outfits, I accidentally layered it over 'Rebecca'... and like it. Give it a go ;)

One of the things I love about Delicious is how many different combinations you can create from their outfits - I haven't shown you half of them here.

For instance, Free Woman gown Francesca comes with three different skirts (plus matching belts), you can wear it with blouse or jacket top, and then there are the accessories - prim jacket fastening, hat, veil, shawl... I've probably left lots out there too!

The cute slave outfit Verso is their 25L outfit, and it, too, can be worn with lots of variations. I've show you two below, but it can also be worn as a full-bodied camisk (ie covers the whole torso).

Delicious will also be showcasing their brand new skin line at the event, so be sure to check that out. In fact, if you're a group member you can tp across to the Delicious skin store and pick up your group gift skin (pictured here).

I was reading some blogs and somehow came across the startling news that Elvenbreath was closing (nooooooooooo!). Well I rushed over as soon as I found out (partly to see if the 'closing sale' was still on) and it turned out they were only closed for a week. Phew.

Just back from holidays, and am way behind with everything Second Life-related, but just a quick post to tell you about some cool stuff at Delicious.

There's currently a retirement sale on - today, 23rd September - is the very last day, so rush down and check out the sale walls in the stores. Oh and slap the midnight mania boards if you can, they might just lock tonight!

While I was there, I was lucky enough to win these cute silks/camisk on a lucky toilet... and I grabbed a group gift which wasn't already in my inventory. As with all Delicious outfits, they can be worn in several different ways - have fun playing.
