Desert Dream

Back to my roots... silks! The Desert Dream silks are a colourful recent release from Second Moon. It's a traditional set of dancing silks - no mesh, lots of mobile flexis. There are lots of different ways to wear it, and you can mix-and-match with the other desert ranges.

The collar is from The Forge, at  We Love Role-Play. You have until the end of the month to buy it there at a discount before the venue shuts down to prepare for the new round on 4 April.

Latest round of the colour challenge, and this one was a piece of cake (yum yum) compared to last week's mountain meadow! I had the perfect outfit already in my inventory, in the shape of Second Moon's Desert Dawn chalwar in Sunrise. I didn't blog this when it was released, so it's nice to be able to feature it now!

Second Moon - Desert Dusk silks

Desert Dusk is a recent release from Second Moon... and Moonriver Darcy has placed it in store lucky chair for a few days. Isn't that wonderfully generous?

Lots of pictures to follow. I took about 30, and quite a few of them turned out quite nice... unusually I didn't have all sorts of stray prims sticking through my avatar or other photographic disasters. So, as I'm unable to discriminate among my photos, I put them all up.

Second Moon recently launched their newest line, the uber-smexy Nightfire outfits.

Included in the range are silks, a chalwar, and a very skimpy 'finery' outfit.

You can buy the outfits individually, but I really recommend you buy the mix'n'match pack if you can stretch to it.

It was like all my Christmases come at once when this little beauty popped up in my inventory, courtesy of Moonriver Darcy!

You possibly already know the original Mirror Cage set - well, Moonriver has re-invented it in enchanting shades of green and aqua, paired with silver accessories.

This outfit isn't new... it's just another one of Moonriver Darcy's stunning creations!

This beautiful black and gold lehenga is part of Moonriver's Exquisite Beauty line, all of which use the same textures.

(Wikipedia explains that the gagra or lehenga choli is the traditional clothing of Rajasthan and Gujarat... choli is the top, lehenga the skirt, and the shoulder drape is a dupatta.)

I had the great pleasure of speaking to MoonRiver Darcy at the 1,001 Nights exhibition... Many of you will know MoonRiver as the designer of the truly covetable Second Moon range.

If you know Second Moon silks, you'll know that Ms Darcy often creates a whole range of outfits featuring the same design - for instance the beautiful Crimson Moon series.

When I expressed an interest in 'megapacks' of these ranges, she pointed me in the direction of the Mirror Cage set, which does come in a 'mix'n'match' pack. Naturally, I couldn't resist...
